Gareth Morgan is a philanthropist... Fenton's contract proves this point beyond doubt.

Fenton will not make another appearance for the NIX - he just isn't up to scratch. Couldn't earn a start at Team Welly or across the ditch, won't earn one now he's back at the NIX.

I don't like saying that, and still remember his first goal fondly and had high hopes, but he is not the player we hoped he would become for various reasons.

Definitely started for TW last season before injuries hit and the shift to Aus.

Agree he's not gonna cut it though.

Fenton made 5 starts and 1 sub appearance and missed 5 games for Team Wellington. I cannot recall if there was a reason for the 5 games he missed.

Does anyone know how many games he played/missed etc in Oz?

My impression was that he was part way through his recovery and that the second half of the season might see a return to some sort of form, at least by Handy standards. If he rode the pine in Oz, then unfortunately he's toast

Worth taking a chance on I reckon. Can provide decent backup anywhere down either flank from attack to defense, and does it better than a certain Adam Parkhouse who we should drop as soon as possible. Fits the Kiwi narrative too, who knows maybe he can fulfil the potential he had when he's not forced into defense

Worth a chance based on what... what he did 3 years ago.. 4 maybe?

Provided a clear benchmark (we learned that we want someone better)

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Fenton started in the central midfield for the Melbourne Knights in Rnd 1 & copped a Kevin Muscat-esque tackle and was injured. He was on the bench Rnd 7, started Rnd 8, bench Rnd 10 & 11. Not sure after what Rnd he came back to Welly.

Sorry but until Fenton can prove that he still isnt gun shy from his shoulder injuries there is no way he should be taking a spot with us.

And just like that, Kaludjerović is off to the Champions League...

He’s signed for Slovenian champions Olimpia Ljubljana. FInished ahead of CL regulars Maribor, winning the double. Brilliant move for him... all these players moving to much bigger and better clubs reinforces the idea that we didn’t get anywhere near the best out of them

Scores 13 goals in 20 games across two A-league clubs. Has a bad run of form as his club implodes around him and is suddently not (and has never been) good enough...

With Logan Rogerson showed at the training start of the Thuringian an unknown face. The 20-year-old played last season in New Zealand's highest league, is current Under-20 international and knows as a striker, where the opposing goal is. In eleven inserts in the highest league, he scored five goals. Whether you have to remember it, will show the training impressions.

He is indeed training with Carl Zeiss Jena - I hope it works out for him.

Liga 3 mid table. He and Mcgarry released?

He turned down a German club originally to sign for the NIX - not sure which one.

Seemed to stall at the club, but had a good run, albeit a little late. More attitude than anything I think (same with McGarry?)

At this point who even knows what mcgarry looks like, how many senior appearances did he get?

Goran Paracki’s officially gone too - he’s signed for Azerbaijani club Neftçi Baku. Not a bad level, especially considering Azerbaijani champs Qarabag held their own against Atletico and Roma in the UCL.

Interesting how his name is spelt on the shirt. More in line with how commentators here pronounced it.

Good luck to the lad. Still reckon if he was arriving now with year's coach he would have become  one of our best ever imports. We never saw his true ability.

I'd say that has more to do with the Azerbaijani language not having a Č in their language.

There is no Č in Paracki's surname.

Okay, I'll correct this. They've spelled it phonetically. No, he does not have a Č in his name, my bad. Though the regular 'C' in Croatian is a 'ts' sound, and because the Azerbaijani language does not have an equivalent letter to this, they have spelled it as they would say it. It's common in those Eastern languages to do this. I know in Greece they either have the English name or have a phonetic version based on our alphabet. So for the surname 'Banana' (yes, this player exists), they either have that spelling or Μπανανα (Mpanana), as 'mp' together makes a 'b' sound.

From wikipedia:

"The letter Цц, intended for the sound [ts] in loanwords, was used in Azerbaijani Cyrillic until 1951. In Azerbaijani, the sound [ts] generally becomes [s]".

He might have gone home to do his recovery. Glory are only after a back up keeper, so if we did want him I am sure he would jump at the chance.

Shame as I thought he looked good at the u20s last year and wanted him to kick on.

Should have been played instead of Parkhouse. Not sure the coaching staff knew what his best position was, he kept being used all over the place for the WeeNix. He probably should have got a chance at LB instead of Libby but I think he was injured at the time?

Given comments about keepers from Rudan, I think he told Tando to look for options elsewhere.

We have two decent young keepers, so the other needs to be a starter.  Not sure that Rudan saw Tando as that much of a step up.
