Interesting that it was not rumoured beforehand?
The Mariners release him a month or so ago saying that it was nothing to do with the club that he was trialing at. But yeah the Phoenix kept this rumor under wraps.
He went to Neatherlands for a trial after being released by CCM, can’t of worked out and we convinced him to come here instead

Extremely pleasing to have a solid back four - Quality aside. First time in many seasons that we know what were going to get/ no one played out of position. Inspite of Dura's age we have solid experienced replacements in Fox and Lowry.

The 3 youth players do not have to be included in the 23 Max limit - If I recall correctly (Oz NYL allowance given to Nix) so we should have 6 5 Kiwi/Aus slots and 2 Foreign avaialbe?
You must have a minimum of 3 players aged 20 or under within your contracted max squad of 23. Players on NYL (or for Nix, WeeNix) contracts are outside the 23. Singh, McGarry & Rogerson are our 3 contracted under 21s within the squad and count towards the total:
4. How many Players does a Club have on their Hyundai A-League Player Roster?
At all times during the Season, a Club’s Hyundai A-League Player Roster must have:
During the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season, a Club may only register either a Guest Player or a Season 2016/17 Guest Player during the Hyundai A-League Season but not both. A Season 2016/17 Guest Player is included in the 20 to 23 Players on a Club’s Hyundai A-League Player Roster. Guest Players and Mature Age Rookie Players sit outside the Club’s Hyundai A-League Player Roster.
Players on a Club’s Foxtel National Youth League (NYL) Player Roster, including Contracted NYL Players and Scholarship Players, are also eligible to participate in the Hyundai A-League.

Originaly when the extra youth players were added we did not get them to take squad to 26( 3 out side cap and Max #)
When Ernie arrived we got the equivalent allowance. Kevin Airs
EDIT: Maybe wrong

In addition to this, there was 3 NYL contracts to sign promising talent to extend your squad
The NYL contracts have been scrapped and replaced by Scholarship contracts, which a team can have up to 6 now (They reduced the amount required to pay the kids to allow for 3 more to be retained)
We are currently on 19 senior contracts, so have a maximum of 4 slots for senior players + up to 6 Scholarship spots for any kids we wish to help out financially to train with the club full time.
Surley Scott can bring Connor Pain with him.
People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.
Really pleased to have nabbed Galloway.
I was hoping he'd be a target for us when the off contract players list for A-League clubs was released towards the end of last season. Good to see the new gaffers Kalezic & Vidosic using a bit of clout and background player knowledge to lure talent to the club. Will be interesting to see who else is being lined up, still some holes in the squad that need filling. Good start to the off season.
Just opened the A-league app after a recent update and checked squad. Well that was a waste of time.

With two import slots available it's kind of hard to predict a formation. But I think it's probably safe to say that if Ridenton, Lowry, or Watson are starters when the squad is 100% fit then we've screwed up our transfers (unless one of them really starts tearing it up in training).

I'd leave Lowry out of that conversation - a) he's not even in our starting back 4 as of right now and b) he looks a competent A-League CB (I certainly rate him above Fox)

Well that was unexpected ...
Again, it seems like the reputation of Rado also helped get him over the line. Rado may prove to be the shrewdest signing of the season. if some forumites find these last two signings underwhelming imagine where we might be if we still had des and greenie leading the recruitment.
So any clue how to pronounce his last name? Google Translate says it like Pa-ra-ts-k-i

Yep. Pah-rah-tskee (it's the best I can do phonetically).

New signing Goran Paracki looks like a promising signing. He looks to have experience and importantly enthusiasm for both the football and a new lifestyle. My observation is when people have enthusiasm for a new culture and lifestyle they work hard to make the move successful.
I am pleased that we are recruiting specialist players to fill the gaps in our squad, something bizarrely we've never done consistently in our 10 years as a club!

Amen.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
Paracki seems a solid Croatian First Division journeyman.
He likes to get around though - ten clubs in the last ten years:
https://www.transfermarkt.com/goran-paracki/profil...
Entire career in Croatia except for 6 games for Pecsi MFC in the Hungarian top flight (signed short-term mid-season)
Big Pete 65, Christchurch

The word 'enforcer' ... replacing Manny at last!
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
Not sure how locked in they are, but pre-season training photos show that Paracki is wearing #4 and Galloway is wearing #8 this season
