Crowds - The thread of Australian whining

Fever were excellent last night, loud throughout. However I watched the replay this morning, sounded very dull. The sound just doesn't carry through to the sound equipment at the stadium, which kind of sucks. Guess we can't really do much about that though. 

In a black lacy bra? TV3 news showed loads of crowd shots with chicks in bra's during their match highlights in the sports news. Could be enough to get the odd male along to the next game.

The fever should pay a few calendar girls to strategically place themselves in the zone...

Auckland Phoenix. Keeping football classy since today.

Trouble is, Wellington always seem to have an excuse. Poor weather (that's the normal one), Pre-Xmas, During Xmas, after Xmas, Anniversary weekend, Sat night, Sun night, Friday Night, clashes with rugby etc etc. Its seems the planets are never going to be aligned together, so the only factor that is going to make a significant difference is perception of the team and their results.

Yeah, I have been lamenting that while there has been a lot of talk on here about the performance, the goals, etc, there has not been enough about exactly how lush this fine lady was. Do we not have the technology and desire to post photos off her for my benefit?

Jeez guys, settle down. If you actually want more women to come to games maybe not acting like a pack of horny schoolboys at the sight of a bra might help.

I have to say I agree. The performance of the team over the last half dozen games deserves more than 7,000. That you can't seem to move beyond that in attracting supporters should be a concern by now. I'm not having a dig at the Phoenix, because I think Merrick is doing a fine job. My dig is at Wellington's football supporters. Where are they? You should be getting 10,000+ to the ground because anything less looks bad on TV with all those empty seats.

The trouble is your next game in NZ is in Auckland and there will probably be a crowd in excess 15,000 which will not make the regular turnout at HOP look good. You really need to do something to boost Wellington's turnout. The players are doing it on the field.

I do wonder if the downloadable posters that were tried several seasons ago are worth reviving? 

It certainly wouldn't hurt and would get more visibility around offices, workplaces etc.

Perhaps the reality is that we can only expect a 4-7k crowd for most games until we start doing a 2009/10 all over again (and back then our crowds only swelled at the end).

It is quite pathetic that you don't care about the nix, yet you still troll around reading Phoenix related threads just to find a post that you can have the same little dig with.

Even Chris Rattue knows about the serious business.  His contention that the whole Ricki era (i.e. the whole history of the club up until last year?) was a disaster is obvious nonsense, though.

Hmm ,  rethinking certain ' life options " ....of course once past puberty they may become a little calmer ...doesnt the interweb provide boys with all that's required these days ?

Or even real-life girlfriends? Although if "hot-blooded" men will come to a football match just in the hope of seeing a lady without a shirt, I don't know what would happen if they actually got to touch one. Fatal nosebleeds, perhaps.
