The main benefit of playing Dadi is that he frees up Greeny and Ifill to play their natural games - to do that he just needs to play a target man role i.e. show, hold and lay-off. Not a big ask for someone with his experience - even at 36.
Having said that he has scored 5 goals in the NYL so he still knows how to find the back of the net. I suspect he is also probably better in the air than most / all of our current squad at set pieces - our set piece conversion rate would be very very low.
I'm pleased he is being brought in to do a short term job and hope he will fire up to prove to his detractors (i.e. Dave Mitchell) he has still got it.
In the future (i.e. next season onwards) we need a younger Dadi (e.g. van Djik) but for this season potentailly a very good move.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)
