Face palm: Garage Project sponsor the 'Nix yeh? Did the brilliant 4-3-3 Golden Ale

Agree with all others on the relevance of the new logo / motto etc.

Plus, in addition, it looks sufficiently Albanian to either attract Berisha's colleagues to play here, or at least put a fear into our opposing teams hearts. Wrong background colour of course.  Double-headed eagle symbolising astute defensive midfielder, looking both ways.

Lots of the former Byzantine empire have the two headed eagle in their coat of arms, could also attract Serbian and Russian players, although having a Serbian and Albanian like emblem obviously didn't dissuade our Bosnian and Croatian born coaching team.

Well done Welnix and the Nix management team. The new logo is a fresh change. The idea of the unveiling ceremony and using local maori mythology was smart too.

To be honest the club needs refreshment. After 10 years the club appeared to be drifting, both on and off the field. Way too much complacency IMO. On the field it appears we have appointed a no nonsense experianced European coach who will hopefully get a bit of discipline and vigour back into the team. Off the field the rebranding is a good start too. It just generates some buzz around the club. 

I have always thought that the club has swung between two extremes. We had Terry, who was all swagger and bling and always created a terrific buzz around the club( and was a financial disaster) Then we have Welnix, who have introduced strong financial rigour to the club but come across as, a bit dour, spreadsheet kind of guys...which has filtered across to the clubs image.

Football is, after all, show biz. We are in the entertainment business....its about attracting people through the door. Congrats to Welnix for getting the books right. Hopefully this new logo thing is a step(small) to getting the other side of the business in order. 

I think Austin, you have made a very good assessment on this. I really hope the locals here in Wellington actually make the move to attend a few games or more this season. We now have to show some form and show up. Backing up our Keyboard Warrior rhetoric.

That Phoenix looks like it has the wings of a Hummingbird. Will quick and rapid be their new playing style. Sure hope so.

Need an update of any other games out of Wellington before the Season Ticket applications.

Meh, can find similar looking logos for anything if you google hard enough.

My only real issues with this logo is the F|C and the fact from a faraway distance it looks more like a whale tale than a Phoenix. Otherwise pretty solid
