Have got mine pre ordered, am considering wearing it under stripey for good karma x 2. Or perhaps such a combination would have exponential results?

Looking forward to seeing the Nix in a loud rectangle, and meeting Ahmed.

If anyone arrives early, there is one of the last Footballsouth Premier League games of the season between Dn Tech and Caversham. Both sides have nothing to play for apart from bragging rights (Tech champions for the first time in 12 years, Cavey could finish 2nd) but could be a reasonable game. Its at the Caledonain Ground which is a minute walk away from Otago Cricket long room and 2mins from the stadium.

Hey c**ts, remember me. If anyone is on the fence about going to this one don't be cause the stadium is amazing and will be incredible to watch the nix on. Get it down ya. See you all there, I'm drumming up numbers at my hall.

Good stuff!

I'm growing ever disappointed in the number of sports and football "fans" who are expressing no interest in attending the game...

Oh well their loss!

4 sleeps to go!! 3 by the time to read this. Late night due to really slow banner making...

Tees have arrived at otago Sports depot, all though as of 11.20-ish they only had M and L.
My verdict is that its a very classy tee.

Thats what i'm finding. A lot of so called sport fans are just not interested. But yeah their loss.

I was talking to a guy at a food caravan thing today (apparently otago cricket have hooked him up to cater for the fever, very good choice), and he was saying alot of his friends are just gonna roll up on match day. Knowing Dunedin crowds i wouldn't be suprised if there a lot of people like that. Last I heard was about 6.5-7k sold, so even thats a reasonable outcome. Getting fired up now.

Walk up crowds are a feature in Wellington too.  Presales of 7k are good and strong.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Wear your tee with pride 24/7. Will help increase awareness that they exist.

Yes I heard 7000 sold now. C'mon Dunedin let's do it!

Yeah walk up crowds aren't exclusive to the south, it's a kiwi thing. Smithy if presales are really at 7k that's a great sign. We'd be in for a well above average crowd here if we had that + our walk ups. The crowd could be the talking point of this game.

Fuck this stupid game

GREAT forecast for Saturday at this stage. Has been changing its mind over the week but currently the forecast is YELLOW!

Of course the pitch will be in perfect condition despite all the snow sleet graupel rain hail etc!

WALK UP DUNEDIN!

Just got a call from Otago Sports Depot. Seems they have a range of all sizes now including the children's sizes. Sounds like they are selling a few already!!

Should be a few curious ones keen to see stadium for the first time with a decent crowd in it, the first egg chasing game of any substance that was to be played there tonight has been cancelled. Hopefully worth an extra k or 2 of crowd.

Anyone seen the ODT today? It's Wednesday (the 2nd biggest paper of the week behind Saturday) and unless I'm missing something I can't see a single mention of the game in the paper today either in editorial or even advertising?

I'll trawl through the paper again but I'm sure that wasn't printed in today's paper edition.

I only saw that coz it was on the home page of this here website. =)

P.S - Marketing guru that you have become, I'm sure you have but, have you spammed the OUSA radio station/weekly magazine (I forget the name) to announce the game? (bit late for the student mag but I reckon radio stations are the go, every day, thousands of phone calls a day)

Staying up until past 1 in the morning making a banner isn't good for the brain folks. The story was indeed printed but no photo and I missed it. Ah well better than nothing.

Images are all though - really surprised to not see any advertising for the game today (there is a huge ad announcing the cancellation of the oval ball game tonight though).

Hmmm no I didn't do that actually. I did talk to Deaker for as long as he was interested in football. About 5 seconds.

Critic and Radio1. The University is well covered in posters, I've made sure of that.

I'm not university connected. Can you call Rad 1? I dunno how many of their listeners are going to be interested (or alert enough) to want to come :)

Yeah, radio one's a sinking ship and only into the random alternative stuff. Critic would have been good, but not to worry.

Critic gets printed like a month in advance (actually a week) so I might have missed the boat anyway. Should have thought about it but Uni students weren't on my mind. That's your area Otagofan :) Have all the halls got posters?

Gees, thats worse than Sky usually is. At least they are showing it though, I'm really hoping Sky Sport do a U-turn and show the game, its very unlikely though

Just a question from the Dunedin kids not on the YF forum. Where other than Otago Sports Depot can they get the ltd. ed. YF t shirt?

Got mine today, amazing!

Cheers

My understanding is that Otago Sports Depot is the exclusive seller of these T-shirts. Many thanks to the team there for their support - let's show them ours :)

Otago Sports Depot will also be selling Phoenix merchandise at the Stadium on Friday night at the training session and on game day I believe. ahmad2011-08-17 20:32:18

2 sleeps to go!!

Big ad in today's local rag ODT. With 7000 sold we should be in for 10,000 at least I hope! Especially if we get a strong walkup with the weather forecast remaining firmly YELLOW!

Via 442 - is this accurate?

"Bahrain defender Sayen Mohamed Adnan has signed a one-year deal with Roar and is likely to make the trip to Dunedin."
