Might have to pay Stirling a visit tomorrow if other potential retailers don't come forth. Or we could find a slave child to sell them direct on George Street to the unsuspecting public.

Is Oska going to the game? Sounds like an ideal candidate for this.

The one problem with Stirling is that they have no street frontage on George Street but they are certainly worth a shot if there are no other takers. Toes crossed.

Looking damn good. The Long Room is great. I can't remember what its capacity is, but if the news on it goes viral there could be quite a crowd. It may pay to keep an eye on ticket sales to the Fever Zone (if someone has the contacts for that) and maybe see how the numbers might stack up for the pre-post match. Venue may need a heads up to cope...

My day just got significantly better.

I have put my hand up to be a pitchside co-ordinator for the game!

Mate just asked me where he can buy a Tee. For the sake of YF I'm happy to be a point of sale for these if there are enough people in Dunedin who want them.

Smithy can you get me a small number?

In the email I send out to clubs I will mention the T-shirt and I'm happy to sell them to people to maximise return for YF.

Also what is the tee cost and are there child sizes?

You can always get YF merch through RYOS...ALWAYS.

Not likely to be ready before this weekend however.

Yes we will do some kids' sizes.  From memory we have 2,4, 6, 12, 14 boys or something similar to that, as well as S, M, L, XL, HN sizes.

Odds on this will be a very limited edition.

YF tees generally $35, or $30 with a Fever Card (or if you ask nicely).

Note that we have not increased our tee shirt prices for three years.  Suck on that Adicash.

Dunedin Central City Backpacker Accommodation Options
Please note that the following is NOT an endorsement or recommendation

In conjunction with the visitor's centre I have come up with a list of all available inner city backpacker accomodation. All are walking distance to the stadium.

Dorm prices are per person per night. Room prices are per room. All say that they have available dorms and rooms for FRIDAY 19 AUGUST and SATURDAY 20 AUGUST.

If you want to know what they are like then Google for photos and reviews.

Kiwis Nest
597 George Street
Dorms $25 // Single room $40 // Twin room $76 with ensuite

Kiwis Nest is the closest backpackers to the Stadium and to the University. It is just on the outskirts of the CBD to the North. About 10-15 minutes walk South to the Octagon. About 20 minutes walk to the Stadium oops I mean the Longroom.

Central Backpackers
243 Moray Place
Dorms $29 (BBH $25) (some dorms sold out) // Double Room $70 (BBH $60) // Twin Room $64 (BBH $54)

Central Backpackers is right in the middle of town. 3 minutes walk to the Octagon. 30 minutes walk to the Longroom.

On Top Backpackers
12 Filleul Street
Mixed Dorm $25 or female only $26 // Double Room $60

On Top Backpackers is just a stone's throw from Central Backpackers above and thus is right in the middle of town too. Also 3 minutes walk to the Octagon or 30 minutes walk to the Long Room.

Hogwartz
277 Rattray Street
Dorms - $28 (BBH $25) // Double Room $66 (BBH $60)

Hogwarts is a little further away from the Stadium but still only 5 minutes walk to the Octagon. 40 minutes walk from the Long Room but once you are in town it's only really 20-25 minutes from there. Has the added advantage of being the closest backpackers to the Speights brewery.

Speaking of Speights, what about a brewery tour?

http://www.speights.co.nz/Brewery-Tours.aspx

Tour times:

Friday to Sunday
10.00am - 12.00pm - 2.00pm - 4.00pm - 6.00pm

There is a Cadbury tour too but on the weekends it's a shortened tour that doesn't include the factory.

A couple of the flatties made it along to the uni rugby, opening of the stadium. Said there was two thousand or so people there, and that they made a hell of a noise.

Sounds like the Yellow Fever Zone will sound 10 times as large as it actually is.
