It is called promoting the game within New Zealand and shows just how much respect the Phoenix get from various sources.

Anyone have any idea if that deal on parking for members at the stadium applies fir Sunday or is it only regular season games.

I don't know for certain - but I would assume that it is not available given that this is a FFA hosted game, not a Phoenix hosted game.

Stadium tweeted that the $10 applies if you arrive 30 mins before kick off.

This is awesome! Great stuff from the stadium.

Piney aside the Doom Post and local media's support of the Nix's biggest game for 3 years is a disgrace - compounded by the FFA's sharkhouse marketing. So - nothing's changed.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Does anyone know if we can use our 'Foundation Member' passes for Phoenix Lounge on Sunday?  Good news that we can get the $10 parking again this weeek.

Little marketing would have been needed if the team had kept winning..

I don't think so, I tried to get passes for the Ronald McDonald House families and the Nix don't have the lounge this weekend, it is a FFA run one instead and costs $99 per person.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

it reeks of attitude from the FFA and local media that the Mighty Phoenix will lose this weekend!!!!

For you guys maybe, but that is 5pm on the east coast and that is where the biggest TV viewing will come from.

Mooy is the one player I fear. He can either be dogshark but more often brilliant. Against us as per normal, it will be brilliant.

edit: actually it might start earlier than I originally thought...

Yeah i realise that Leggy but my point was that they wouldnt schedule a game in Aussie at 7 on a Sunday.Guess the FFA would rather its played in front of an empty looking stadium, then they can bitch and moan about our crouds.

If we get 12k for an elimination final do you thnk this will have a serious adverse effect on our chances of a licence extension?

none whatsoever

I remember in our preliminary final (semifinal) in Sydney they only had 13k. They still seem to have a licence.

Allegedly

I posted this in the crouds thread the other day...

Unless the FFA have deliberately given us a shark kickoff time so we get a poor croud so they can say "look, they don't even get good crouds for knockout games" so they can justify not giving us a license extension

But Sydney FC is an anagram of Yc ens dsyf, which is reptilian for "favoured by the illuminati and FFA", so that's why they didn't get shut down. Wake up sheeple!

Ouch league test has been moved till 6pm on Sunday. Dilemma for me as League is my 2nd sport after football.

so a meaningless match in your second favourite sport or a winner takes all knockout match in your favourite sport.

Yeah pretty tough choice

For all you living in Christchurch, skinhead or otherwise, get to Spectators at Addington Raceway for the match.

Regular HQ for the Chch Nix Supporters club, should be a good croud in to watch the game together.

Free feed of Pizza at halftime too, it's bloody nice pizza as well!

The croud is going to be shark.

Crap kick off time, poor form, not very exciting opponents, higher prices than usual, season tickets not included, total lack of media hype.

All of those factors combined and you get less than 10k. Well done to all parties involved in these decisions.

All good, your point is valid, who wants to see a half empty stadium. If as the weather forcast suggests, it is cloudy, cold and at 7pm on a Sunday, I am hoping for a 15k croud but in reality expect closer to 8k. Domey hoping for 30k is like me hoping to win Powerball on Saturday night.

I can't remember another season where so many factors have conspired against us getting decent home crouds: bad weather, the Asian Cup interruption, the cricket world cup, being forced to play at a ground with a capacity of 8000, the world cup final, a suddenly overachieving Hurricanes, and now tepid FFA marketing and an unhelpful kickoff time. It's so frustrating.

Some might say that's making excuses but it's been incredibly difficult to capitalise on the Nix's momentum and success.

Adelaide got 20,155, us getting less than half isn't going to be good.  It's all a conspiracy to boot us out.
