Starting to feel a bit nervous. Have lined up a few tasks to while away the time..

The Herald bites. Day of the elimination final- on page 7 in the sports news, and the main big headline all over the page is that Winston Reid wants to play in the Olympics.

Got my tinfoil hat on, but almost like the FFA gave them a call and they had a laugh and said sure...sleep deprivation may have something to do with this...

Nice video to pump us up for the game.

i reckon it is very quiet in the stadium for 40 mins beforehand :/

For me, that means many families staying away. Let's just hope the a-league don't let a poor croud* be a stick to beat us with. Maybe we do overestimate our value in terms of TV rights given our time slots.

it's pretty quiet in here too

a shame how the season is winding down with a whimper like this

win today and we smash it all to hell

Fenton up front, good luck son

Roy to come on and score the winner later, if we need him

Interesting that Ernie has kept faith in Fenton and that A-Rod has seemingly completely dropped out of favour

Too bad there is a disappointing croud for this - it has to put a dampner on the players spirits too

It's definitely dampened my spirits! What a massive contrast with our first ever home play off back in 2010.

Fenton on the right and Lia starting weren't what I was hoping for. Hopefully the boys can pull through!

Looks like there will be fox sports commentary if you're watching from Aussie like me?

I'm not sure what's worse, putting up with Harper or putting up with Dewhurts.

Probably the disappointing turnout is related to pessimism that the game means anything, since even if we win we get to play the Tards at home. And this is why I'm wild at the lads for not trying hard enough last week.

If you think the reason we lost is because we 'didn't try hard enough' then I don't know what to say..

Don't much care for the look of our front line. Basically it's just Burns MC will have to deal with, McG and Fenton are not a threat in goal scoring terms. It looks oddly conservative.

I know he's out of form but I'd much rather see Krishna starting or even Kenny.

Im sure they didn't say lets go out and lose any of the last 3 home games but fact is those teams finished ahead of us.  COYN..get back into goal form.

Well, 2nd Best would have an aneurysm if I said "mental toughness" again -but what can you call it? With the same team that was kicking arse to left and right before the Asian Cup, we've been 2 goals down within half an hour twice in a row.

We actually played quite well against Sydney; missed pen cost us. Manny was the only one who you could say perhaps didn't try hard enough.

We will get our chances tonight, if we take them we will win easily. If not could be the same as previous weeks

Wait, what - Simon Hill just mentioned we were given a 5 year extension but are holding out for a 10 year extension? Did I miss this?

That's what Cockerill said in his recent article, dunno how serious to take it.

We need to win matches like that,  I agree with Doloras,  the boys didnt turn up last week and they need to today,  if not,  a season that promised so much 6-8 weeks ago will be very disappointing.  A 5th place finish is not something to be too proud of

Wish I shared your confidence. Hopefully our defence isn't in its usual generous mood but they are going to have an interesting night trying to cope with Novillo, Mooy, Koren and Jesus.

Not to mention Ben Williams!
