In second half two penetrating wingers, Rojas on left and Ifill on right, looked the best, most balanced attacking formation we have had all season.  More please.

amazing performance. Quality. So much more than Daniel brought to the table.

Give him another 30 mins. Another stellar performance and yeah starting spot.

Can't see Rojas starting just yet but he is a great prospect. I would like to see him come on as an impact player like we used to use Caceras. Maybe get 30mins against tiring defenses.

Could well happen.  Bertos not going to Sydney - he picked up a groin injury tonight.

hmmm interesting. Wonder if that means musa to stay on the bench. Or will pav/ elliot/ mac get the spot?

Guess that means marco or ward to start... or both?
Or maybe just greenacre up top? that could be it..

I'm really rapt for young Marco, he played really well and turned their defence a few times.

Did well but don't think he's ready to start. Perfect impact player to have off the bench. See how Ward goes starting in Leo's position.valeo2010-11-28 13:32:14

Hope he doesn't get rushed into the first team.  While the sports scientists will have the best idea about how much Rojas should be playing at his age, it strikes me that week-in/week-out A-League football might be a bit much for a teenager.

(Don't read that as, "Exile him to the reserves!"  I just mean that the kid's probably best off starting on the bench.)

(Qualifier: I'll be the first to admit I lambasted someone about Rojas being the answer and while I think this kid has exceptional talent and dearly want to see him succeed, he is not physically A League ready. I also didn't see the game last night.)

It seems he has come on and had a good game. Does this make him the saviour? Probably not, but then just as likely too. One good game does not make an all-star, ask Ahmad Elrich after his goal in his first appearance for the nix. All his performance has done, is given him a deserved shot to get another run. You perform, you play. Give him another 25-30 next week. See if he can back it up or if it was the sun shining on a dogs ass.

If he backs it up, then lead the calls for a start. Is anyone calling for James Musa to start again? I saw the highlights and his in-experience showed however that was 2 mins out of 90...

Lets see if Rojas can do the same again before we start calling for him to lead us to the promised land.

Grumpy old bastard alert

True that get him on ,if he's good enough he's old enough !

I wouldn't worry about him being to young to start etc. Look at that Pumpkin Head for CCM, he's only 17 and being given consistant starts playing most of the match.

We did the same thing to Kosta and he moved and is starting and play full games for the Roar.

Talent that these young fellas have is awesome and genuine and we should be using it, not letting it get a flat bum on the bench or not at all.

One of the best things about Rojas, is that they havnt forced him out of his tricks and stepovers. I was afraid they were gonna wean it outta him. But he's still got it.

He's got the pace, and the fact that we play three in the middle, means our wide players have a little defensive duties which is probably best for him.

He needs to keep the bench role as it gives him more confidence going up against tired legs. And the more time he gets off the bench, the more hes gonna learn the league.

Most of them aren't midgets with no meat on them, though (no offence Marco if you're reading)

Though it's not as if Tommy Oar was a heavyweight. I still think it'd be better to ease him in but would be excited to see him start, I must admit. Purely because it's something Ricki hasn't really done before.valeo2010-11-29 21:03:11
