I think that's a bit of an odd decision though. Krishna's not young enough to improve greatly in a season or 2, and if he's only considered good enough to be a fringe player now is it worth a year's salary AND an import slot used up this season to have him in the squad for the 2015/16 season? Especially considering he probably would have stayed in NZ playing ASBP for that year anyway.
Some highlights. looked to be a shanked cross for the goal.

That highlights reeel should be compulsory watching for those commenting here in the forums about our lack of a striker. Having watched it I come away with the feeling that we (a) created, and (b) put plenty of chances on target, and that their goal keeper had a blinder to keep us scoreless.
_IF_ that is how it was in reality then that puts quite a different slant on the post match analysis from the Nix point of view...

I seems to me, given that none of us have seen the game, that despite missing key players and basically fielding a midfield of second string and beyond players we still dominated much of the game, created more chances that our opposition and could easily have scored twice from the chances we created.
We didn't but given that our midfield was not close to our best you have to attribute some of those chances to our strike force as it seems our 2nd/3rd choice midfield wouldn't have created the chances we did without work from up top. That must alleviate some of our worry about our strikers, they can create chances and if you create enough statistically speaking some of those are going to be put away.

I think it is quite clear that we don't have a striker who is going to score 15+ goals this season. The question is not: are our strikers top quality? They aren't. The question is: can our midfield create enough chances and can enough people contribute to make the lack of a top quality striker less relevant?
From all accounts it did seem as tho the phoenix did dominate proceedings against adelaide which concerns me greatly when i see the scoreline. Boyd and Brockie need to stop being so hapless infront of goal and simply grow some balls, be ruthless and find the net like all good strikers do. I feel that the phoenix often appear almost scared in front of goal and it is something we need to grow out of, even in the All whites vs south africa match earlier this year tyler boyd did not seem to have the guts to run straight at defenders and get one on one with the goalie, instead he kept on misfiring from hopeless positions towards the sides of the goal.

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.
I saw the highlights and had the same thought. We always seem to be 'unlucky'. To be honest, you can only be unlucky for so long until you realise that its actually not unlucky at all and a lack of skill/talent/correct players.
We should have put some of those away and its funny how Brockie was 'unlucky' against Newcastle too.
Grumpy old bastard alert
