With Phoenix being on a roll at the moment and having so much new support both at the games and through an online fanbase there are many new members such as myself who have joined YF for the first time. I had a quick squiz and can see a cpl of hundred new signups just in the last fortnight and many of us are not just new to here but fairly new to the great sport of football

So you guys can give me a hard time but blimmen heck can someone put up a sticky thread somewhere of what the various abbreviations & nicknames used frequenlty on here mean. Some are easy to work out and some have to be googled. In the past week I've stumbled across things such as toons, tards, boro, ROF, EPL and many others. Maybe I'm blonde and sure I've worked most out now but it would be nice to make threads a little easier for us newly enthusiastic to follow

and I must end by saying the great majority of you have been nice and welcoming and fairly tolerant tho I still get thrown with some comments whn don't know if the member is male or female

Fair enuf.

For the record:

Tards = Melbourne Victory (also Etitard, their stadium)
RoF = Ring of Fire (where the Feenix play)
EPL = English Premier League

Also one more:

Bobsled = How Feverish and Tim Brown tackle.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Prefix rules to messages
First charactergrouping will indicate alliegence
Nix = Nix fan
Tards = Melb fan
Jest = Newcastle fan
Sad = Sydney fan
etc etc
then hyphen
second charactergrouping will indicate location (country code)
NZ
AUS
etc
then hypen
finally location in country
WGTN = Welly
CHCH = Flatland
MORDOR = auckland

So for myself I shall prefix all posts
Nix-NZ-WGTN

I am sure this system will prove highly workable and will catch on across all forums :-)
