As for the whole club nickname thing, I always thought changing thread titles to "GLOLry v Tards" or whatever just made us look like idiots. Probably likely to get the ban stick pointed at me now...

Haha it'll pass - I exclusively used "soccer" before 2007 for much the same reason (I used Football for Canadian Football and American Football for NFL). To me now, football = soccer, end of. CFL is CFL, NFL is NFL, NRL is league, S14 is rugby, and AFL is rubbish.

Hillbilly single handedly fixed football in Oz, took it off the efnicks and gave it to the people, and christened Melbourne with a seppo nick name he thought was roflicious. And he did all this without ever needing to leave his computer.

Quite an achievement. And how do Sydney fans repay him? By staying away in droves, the callous bastards!
