Ifill/Greenie v Smeltz/Porter

I see some irony on the weekend how we were shooting for Smeltz and Porter back a bit which would may/may not have worked, who really knows. Now we've got Ifill / Greenacre and I'm happy with the outcome especially after the weekend.
But if all 4 were free would you stick to what we have, go for the other two or be able to mix it up?

Just based on these 4 as 3 are/were Nix players and we nearly had the other - which combo would you have?

For me Ifill and Smeltz. I should add though that in no way would I swap Greeny for anyone right now. I think we've found all the combos that work.

I think I'd prefer to have all 3 of ifill, greenacre, and smeltz, play ifill as a wide attacking midfielder with bertos, with grweenie and smeltz up front.

Why are we spectulating this???

I think Porter is a quality player but Ifill/Smeltz for sure

Rather have a player who wants to play for the club and gives his bollocks week in week out than some nancy boy with a dodgy haircut who dumps the club that dragged him out of pub football in the UK and set him up for where he is today(sorry Shane, i will love you on the 14th)

It's just interesting that no one has voted Smeltz/Porter which is what we were all getting excited about a while back and looked likely. Also the fact they play together now obviously doesn't inspire anyone.

Totally agree.  Its a pity we were unable to land Porter too as we would then have been solid in all aspects, Defence, Midfield and up front.  Think how sharp we would look being able to leave one of Smeltz/Greenacre/Porter on the beach for use as a supersub!

Yes, plus what we possibly would have had v what we have now.
I can't imagine the players are happy at GC. Part of the difference on Sunday was a team that played for each other and obviously gel v one that has been bought, play individually and looked like they don't give a stuff.
