I feel for the CCM fans over this Wee Mac thing and if he is just using technicality to get out for a money grab, it would make me feel rather dirty about it also. But without knowing exactly whats happening, its hard to judge. Not sure we will ever know the circumstances fully.

It sounds very similar to an angry incident we had between our Plains Rangers womens team and Kawerau. Both teams thought one of the players was registered to them. We sorted it out pretty well...

1. Arguing
2. Shouting
3. Swearing
4. Offering to show documentation
5. Explaining our versions of the transfer/ registration rules to each other
6. Threatening
7. Deciding to play her anyway
8. Having some pretty rough tackles flying in
9. Getting the Federation to sort it out afterwards

They did, they made Kawerau transfer her to us!

Hopefully the FFA follows this example.

Im deeply sorry that you picked my o-zil pun...even as I was typing it, it sounded ridiculously horrific. I was meant to type o-zilch, but I doubt that makes it any better. Good comp idea tho lads. It kept me entertained during the early mornings.

I got abused by a Hammers fan for our (my) description of them as "plastic" fans in Auckland. He called me names.

I have hurt feelings. 

Wasn't just your opinion Smithy, the whole podcast was of similar mind! You'll get over it, and so will we.

I seem to recall the Phoenix owners were in a similar position of angst when a change of manager was required; we're going through the same. Fair play to the contingent inc me that stayed behind to record the best ever twist and shout ever. That was Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane + Kiwi hammers teaming up.  

it's not West Ham fans that are plastic, its the life long since Abramovic arrived at Chelsea fans that are plastic, along with a fair few United fans.

Now that I'm sober it's totally fair to point out two things:

1. I wasn't even in Auckland, so should have tempered my opinion accordingly.

2. The Fever may indeed have been too far away in Auckland to hear the Ham fans. I can't say. But we couldn't hear Newcastle yesterday, so it's plausible.

Anyway, I wasn't really trying to have a potshot at West Ham fans (who smoked the Zone yesterday with 94 minutes of T&S) I was just trying to be funny. One man's funny is another man's fuckwittery, so I apologise.

Yes, my impression from being up in Auckland was that the acoustics in a half empty Eden Park aren't very good and neither set of fans could hear the other very well.
