LOL, Sorry, I was being dislexic for a moment.

Was tempted to go for the Perth-Nix draw and thought about it seriously after listening to the podcast.

Luckily I held off.  

Didn't even remotely think about going for the win, but the draw was very tempting... before kick off.

Can Ernie take any responsibility for the fact our midfield is a work in progress? We have chopped and changed formations, but we have had time to build a squad and had a full pre-season.

Think about our midfield: Burns, McG, Roly, A-Rod, Riera, Lia 

That is a half decent crew, yet we still have no idea really how they should work together.

Do you guys think that the Lia/Rodriguez/Riera  McGlinchey/Burns/Bonavacia would actually work without Fenton bombing on and providing a bit of thrust and width?  I'm not sure that would actually work, plus I think that midfield really lacks the ability to make a penetrative pass.

Dale said that Lia has a good long passing game but he generally makes long square passes.  None of those three really is able to break the defence open.  That 3 to me all basically look to do the same thing which is to get it and pass it, but it does end up with the ball just being shuffled from side to side, i.e. it's possession but not threatening possession

regarding Dale's comment about some (Doyle?) Nix player getting a card and then perhaps adapting his game to not pick up another - do people think that getting a card changes your mindset that much?

Think I've worked out why Greenie got sent off so many times in his career. 

I think it has to in certain situations. 

You'll think twice about a slide tackle for example. You'd also obviously not pull a player back when they're on a counter attack.

And Malcomson gets a massive column in the Herald like he's all knowledgable. It's terrible. NZF get on it! Someone like Miles Davis would be great.

Miles Davies is almost as bad.  He was on the OFC podcast and was asked what was his highlight of the year. After everyone else listed off stuff that happened in the region, he proclaimed West Ham beating Man City was his highlight. He also think Clapham should be starrting for the Phoenix. 

ah. That sucks. Ok- yeh he was good on that PL backpass, but talking about the EPL.  Ok, Simon Hampton then! Damn good TV3 piece on Brockie. Kudos.

Find it odd that Radio Sport get others in when they have one of the most knowledgable football people already employed. (I'm referrring to Piney)
