1. What's the decision making process/business case for a boutique stadium vs hard ball negotiations with Shane Harmon for Westpac? Quite frankly to crack 15,000 on a regular basis could make staying quite attractive, especially if combined with franchise extension from FFA and admission to the ACL.
2. Are you moving admin office to Top of Tory complex next to Football Central?
3. End of season YF vs Phoenix select 11 v 11?
Not. Gonna. Happen.
Grumpy old bastard alert
1: Chips, sort them out.
2: My members keyring from 08/09 has broken, will you cover that under the Consumer Guarantees Act?
3: The F&B range at the stadium is far too narrow and over priced. Why no halal pork buns or Irn Bru?
4: Can we be more like the Warriors and put out wear multiple different jerseys.
and finally (and seriously), 5: What is the club doing to maximise our current on-field performance, off the field (ie: media, marketing, and memberships) and have we got sufficient infrastructure/capacity to manage increased demand on our human resources - players and support staff?
Can he stop banging on about the bullshark 10k requirement. A solid, consistent 8k is absolutely acceptable for the region. No doubt we want more but bitching about it and threatening for it to be taken away doesn't help with public sentiment to get behind a team that possibly won't exist in the near future (in their minds). Talk the club up at every opportunity and more people will want to be part of it.
I don't know about that last bit. Relentless (blind) positivity is a big yawnfest. Honesty is a good thing. But I agree they need to find a new way to address the crowd debate.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
It was interesting seeing Andrew Saville having to do a positive segment on the Nix and still managing to make it sound negative even though we are winning.
Still publicity is publicity.

Dome was bloody good value on the pod recording this morning. 2ndBest should hopefully get it out tonight.

Plenty of others will cover off the negative stuff. I just hate the whining from the club about crowds. Do things in the back ground, concentrate on long term gains and creating life long supporters and praise the core 6-8k you're getting rather than cry about not getting 10k right now.
Have got David 'Thunder' Dome on the podcast this week. Recording tomorrow so post any questions to him here.
You ask about the Wgtn Utd thing?

With all due respect, that is putting cart before the horse.
The business case should be made on a likely franchise extension assuming Asian Confederation bosses do not object (probably should not, and I hope not, as this is a small fry issue for them). It should not be made on us playing in the ACL if we win the league (they would not let us do it as this was the basis of the permission for us to play in HAL, which is in Asia - a different confederation as we are in Oceania).
We already know we can crack 8,000 with a good performance, and in finals we may be able to have regular 10,000 crowds. The business case for the future to examine is: will we lose money at a large stadium (Westpac) even with 10K? Would building a smaller rectangular stadium make us drop the attendances below the current 8,000? What is the sensitive point of cost vs earning capacity?
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

From what I've heard the WU committee are convening this month to make a decision on it. Pretty late really.

Yeah but would be interesting to know the philosophy behind it

#InTheZone 148 is out at www.yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts
Phoenix General Manager, David 'Thunder' Dome, joins the podcast to talk all things back office, including our licence, finances, crowds and fixtures, while the rest of the podders review the Phoenix's demolition of Brisbane Roar. Young All Whites, coach Jose Figueira, dials in before they depart for their World Cup qualification tournament, and Team Wellington's Pat Fleming looks back at their match with Qatar.
Awesome! Just in time to listen to as I eat dinner! Thanks guys.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
Great podcast lads.
Kudos to Dome for being so up front.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.
I can't believe Domey spoke to the media!

That was farken great!! I know you do get Domey on every so often but it would be great if you could get Domey on a couple of times a year for a third of the pod to field fan questions, keeping us posted and giving us some insight into the behind the scenes reality of the club that would be fantastic and a really great way for the club to communicate with the fans directly. I really like to hear a bit about the financial and political realities of the club the from the horses mouth. Also if Ernie can get on a couple more times that'd be cool...
Anyway top pod, even more so than usual.

Ernie would make a great Podcast, his dry sense of humour is an unexpected bonus for us.

No Way! Major score if you do!

It's a shame that Football United wasn't a success. As a fan, I loved it.
Great work as per guys, and thanks Thunder for fronting the (non) media!
Hoping to get Ernie on next week. Stay tuned.
Exciting. Since you are just giving me what I want can we also have Ifill on the pod... like all the time. Just every week or so.
Cheers.

Nice work guys, just heard the podcast referenced on The Mix 98.2 (in Auckland) during the news saying Domey said the timing of the cricket world cup was unbelievable. Coverage is spreading.

Podcast is ruining New Zealand media. Just like the Phoenix are ruining the ASBP.

It's like you've gifted them myriad stories. (ok well at least two)
We need to fast track Roly on the citizenship, this would be very helpful to get us to the 2018 World Cup. Phoenix has to bend some laws for the greater good of the country.
for the last time, Roly can not play for the All Whites. he's played youth football for the Dutch.
