No jokes, If Ifill will do it he would be excellent.  Involved with the Central League, quality analysis of the A-League, knows everyone and was/is a better player than them.  Sign him up

How long is 2nd best going for? Is it possible just to interview Domey very week to fill the void?

Very weak interviews are our speciality.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I'm trying to convince the TAB to run a book.

I give him 3 months tops and he'll be back. Like a boomerang is Dale.

Would you rather fight a Kevin Muscat sized duck or a hundred duck sized Kevin Muscats?

1. How closely do the coaching staff of the Phoenix and the WeeNix liaise? Is there a conscious effort to have the WeeNix playing to the same or similar system(s) as the senior squad?

2. What has surprised you most about Wellington since you came here?

3. What's the biggest contrast in the lens you view the league through now in Wellington compared to the one you saw the league through when you were at the Victory?

4. Do you think our away crowds are growing?

5. What do you think the club, the Yellow Fever, and the city of Wellington can do to get our home crowds up to 15,000 regularly?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Are you a better Manager now than your Melbourne Victory days, and if so, why are you better?
What advice would you give to a manager that was new to the A-league?

2. What (if anything) is stopping us from being title favourites?

3. Biggest area of improvement you have noticed at the nix since you started?

4. Where do we need strengthening?

If you were able to sign one current A League player outside of the Phoenix, who would it be?

Would you prefer to sign a Scottish player or an English player if given only those choices?

With the current Asian Cup going on, who stands out thus far to you?

What's your preferred Whiskey?  - If you have the odd drink (Post answer in the Whiskey Appreciation thread)

You once commented that you saw how differently the Phoenix are treated by match officials as to say the Victory. Has this gotten any better or is it still like we here already know from your point of view?

Side question do you think he looks like a gargoyle? yes/no?

The Phoenix and Wellington are seemingly portrayed as less than highly desirable as a club/place for players compared with other A-League clubs.

What is your assessment of this perception and what could the club do to make it be seen as a "glamour" club (e.g. could it be a Sydney or Victory, but without the twuntiness)?

That is how the Aussie media portrays us, doesnt mean thats what players think.

I am sure Nathan Burns had plenty of offers in Australia for example

Which is why asking Ernie, who has seen both sides of the issue, is appropriate.

All about results....performance leads to results leads to player retention (Burns, Roly) .....let others go in search of glamour. We do have Nixie chicks after all!

For Burns I think it was more that Ernie had been keeping in touch with him and built up a relationship.

We have had two exceptional signings - Ifill and Roly - neither had any preconceived ideas about the club or the league.  Other than that how do we go about picking up the Berishas and Finklers etc?

its all the things we've wanted since day 1....attractive football, good coach, crowds, atmosphere. For the avge A League player it's facilities, profile, competitions, salary and lifestyle. Leave it to you to figure out how we score and where the gap is between us and Victory or Adelaide/ Brisbane. Building a new ground might help but crack the crowd thing and Westpac could be made to work for us a whole lot better.

From a footballing perspective, what do you think of the US foreign policy towards Nth Korea and how would you tackle the problem of the impact of cats on NZ bird life?

Also is total football as good as tap and go?

And: I've heard that the players respect you more if you carry a clipboard (just like Chris Hughton) - is this true?
