The All Whites U17s have qualified for the World Cup so coach Jose Figueira reflects on their campaign, while back home, Team Wellington retain their lead at the top of the ASB Premiership.

The pods looks back at Monday's disappointing loss to Brisbane Roar FC, before turning attention to this weekend's away trip to Western Sydney Wanderers FC with help from Wanderers fan, Daniel Palmer. Back home,Auckland City Football Club displace Exodus Team Wellington at the top of the ASB Premiership.

FYI  Drogba was signed when Shenhua was under the ownership of Zhu Jun - who was more hands on than Gareth in a cattery.  He had a track record for not paying players on time (a sort of Terry on roids).

Since Jan 2014 Shenhua is now owned by Greenland Group so Cahill will be paid on time I'm guessing! 

Pfft.  We all hope that he doesn't get paid.  End of.

Without a good coffee or hot chocolate in sight, the pod is back to chat the Wellington Phoenix FC encountering a bump in the road to A-league glory in Penrith, other A-league action, and all of the Fever plans this weekend. Further to my suggestion about Dura. He scored 1 goal in 100 games before he joined the Phoenix. Going to suggest he isn't a great attacking headerer.

Stats backing up what is pretty clearly evident

If anything he his record has got better. 4 goals in 170 odd games for the Phoenix.

Just had a quick glimp of the most potent CB in HAL. Muscat is, but all but three of his goals were penalties. Zwaanswijk has the best. 11 goals (inc one pen) in 87 games. So Dura and Siggy would nee to be on 20 goals to have his strike rate.

Does help that our strikers have never been good either. Ifill Smeltz, Greenacre, Brockie. There no other threats so easy to mark Dura and Siggy.

Cited must be in trouble goal keeping wise if they are hoping Flappy will be back for them

That is GROSSLY unfair!

I would postulate that Leo's corners were the most accurate corners of any corner taker in the history of the game. He found the first defender EVERY SINGLE TIME. It didn't matter where our players ran to, the ball unerringly found the head, chest or boot of the first defender.

Smeltz can head a ball.

Doesn't Dura's pre-nix record indicate it's not just the delivery? Trying to dig out Siggy's ASBP record.
