Disagree. He still doesn't look match fit. Although Daniel is pretty rubbish

He is fantastic, would love to see him start in the future, but for the moment, good impact player.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

You just can't start kids because they have a couple of good games.

Its not because of the threat they won't perform again, its part of his development. :)

He only needs to last 60 minutes, that's all Daniel is playing... I'd rather have 60 minutes of Rojas and 30 mins of Daniel than vice versa.

Starting him might mean that he loses impact. Off the bench - 45' might be good enough for now, UNLESS Daniel and Ward play below standard.
This being said, he will need to start games sooner or later. Hopefully later on this year, maybe even more next year.

amazing ball.

Could have won it for us earlier too.
And needs to trust himself to shoot from range when he gets space

Awesome to finally have a youth player really pushing for his chance.
AWESOME

The touches he makes are fap worthy.

You're all right about having the confidence to pull the trigger when the time is right. I got the feeling last year about Kosta too - and he's a striker.

Quite like his wee little legs going like the clappers, against big tired defenders, for the last 30 minutes, tbh.

For the moment, wouldn't change a thing, tbf.

i think needs to come on at half time, bertos will be back next week? start him then put on Rojas at halftime for either him or Ward

I kinda agree with this. He has proven that he can last for 30 - 35 mins. Next step must be 45 - 60. Just because he starts doesn't mean that he has to last the full 90, but may as well see how long we can put him in there for. Daniel needs to be back as an impact player before one of his tackles kills someone

I'd also rather be 2 or 3 goals up after 60 minutes than have him coming on to try and drag us back into the game.

I like it the way it currently is - give him 30-40 minutes, enough time to make a difference.

Ricki already said he'd be starting within a month when he gets his fitness up. He sees him in training every day - he knows more than you.

To be honest he's the perfect impact sub at the moment - something we haven't had for a long timevaleo2010-12-05 19:58:18

He just adds a bit of pace and trickery to our team that we don't normally have out wide.

Does remind me of Kosta - doesn't have the confidence to shoot. Yet. Will definitely come with a few more games.

We should start him, just so he can take the set pieces. His two corners were far more accurate than anything else Ward served up.

Did shoot though, unfortunately straight at Galekovic from 5 yards. Every minute on the pitch is increasing his confidence. His passing is very tasty - evidence of a quite mature football brain. I'd be surprised if he didn't learn to plant those chances sooner rather than later.

Rojas is just suberb. Needs a start soon just to see how he goes, and hopefully give him more chances to score so he can gain some confidence with having a shot.

He only shot because he literally had no other choice haha - and even then he should've gone across goal aiming for the far post. Panicked a bit. But even this game you can see how he has progressed with his crossing - was much bettervaleo2010-12-05 20:18:24

Much prefer him to be finishing matches at the moment where he is running at tired defences, rather than starting.Starting him means he will be facing guys who are fresh and at this stage im not convinced he ready to handle that.

Very true, he's not mentally ready to play whole games either. Ricky is easing him into it, playing him longer and longer every week.

What makes you say he is not mentally ready?

I don't know for certain, however I think if he plays at the start of a game, he will lose all the confidence he has built up over the last few weeks, because he won't be able to run around fresh legs like he does tired ones.

I think the path hes on at the moment is working. Hes probably the best impact player in the squad, who else has done as much as he has off the bench in the last few weeks?

Bringing him on at the 60/70 mark is the way to go for now

I made no mention of mentally ready, all i said was i prefer him to be running at tired defenders, rather than those who are fresh.Im bloody sure he starts a game and he will find out all about it.Think Rickie will have to choose which game he will start in very carefully as there are some bloody hard headed defenders who love nothing better than giving a kicking to a young fella.

I reckon he is very affective for us at present, why screw with it.

I thought Daniel was good for the the first 25 minutes tonight and then faded out of the game - he is starting to show his age in loss of speed and the resultant lack of confidence to take on players. It was great having Marco to replace him with.

When fit I think Leo will replace Daniel in the starting 11 with Marco coming off the bench - the timing of Marco's appearance depending on the game situation and Leos, Wards etc form.

It won't be long before he pushes for a start but I agree with many who think it's too soon and he really gets a chance to show his stuff against tiring defenders.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I think he is good enough to start but am not sure if he will get a chance to for a while yet.

I do however like what he does for the shape of the team when he comes on. Ifil stays more central as he knows there's actually someone out wide who can create something and get the ball into the box.

Our other wide players always seem to drift in, which makes it harder to counter because we have no width, with Rojas hugging the sideline we do.

Would like to see him and bertos on one wing each with a more traditional 442. With Ward and Brown (i'd prefer Manny but in this scenario he go back into the fullback role i'd imagine). in the middle.
