Hmm, Gold Coast could do us a huge favour by winning in there last two games @ Home
Vs Perth and Vs Brisbane...

But we must not concern ourselves with other results, until we have taken care of business...

Masters Grade aint no run in the park on a Saturday...

Our win % is trending consistently up.

That is good.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

It's interesting that we won a higher percentage of games in 10/11 compared to 09/10. Must be all those draws midseason that kept us in the playoffs and hurt the win percentage.

whatever happens in these last two games, at least we would have won more than we lost.

Trouble is we could win both remaining games and remain 4th... or we could lose them both and get 3rd.

This. To an extent, we are relying on results in other games. However, picking up 6 points will only help our chances at getting 3rd, putting pressure on Perth.

The best thing is, Perth play the night before our final game against CCM, so we will know exactly what we need to do (and how many goals we need to score) to finish above them.

I think we should concern ourselves with other results now.

If the Heart beat Sydney and Adelaide we will need a point against CCM to match their 41 points and hold 4th. They have +1 goal difference....we have +3. This is going to be so tight

If the Heart win both those games then they must have improved their goal difference by at least two and therefore, at best for us, it would come down to goals scored (is this right for the A-League?), which Heart would probably have over us given their two wins and our solitary draw.

I think we'll hold onto fourth - not because I have any faith in our ability to get something from the Mariners game, but because I feel confident neither Heart or Newcastle will win both their last games.

I'd by happy with draws in all the other games from now on, except Perth who I want GCU to absolutely decimate.

My head says 4th is the most likely outcome. My heart just wants to run away and hide til the 26th...

Aaaargh!
CCM  and Roar both won tonight So CCM are on 48 points, Roar on 46

So CCM will almost certainly need to win agaisnt the Nix to win the minor premiership. A draw and 49 points is not enough because if the Roar beat the GC they go to 49 as well.....and the Roar have a superior goal difference.

So it will be all on this weekend at the ROF. If Heart win this weekend the Nix need at least a draw and possibly a win depending on goal difference to get 4th. The Mariners will be coming at us full speed.

Can't wait....should be a cracking game!!

No point playing for a draw against CCM, as that does nothing for the teams confidence. We have to beat teams to progress in the finals so you may as well start now....if/when we play them again in the playoffs we won't be starting on the back foot, as we have in recent games.

Cheers LF1!
Btw,apologies for my poor form first peek this am.^
I was pissed at the way the Nix lost last night. Looking at that table there is still hope for 4th place,..I think.

Just really have to say it again, plenty of us here appreciate your work in maintaining this table every season, I know we sometimes take it for granted but, it's an invaluable resource on this site and I for one would hate to be without it, and without your input too.
Thanks Piney
