CCM has a star over their logo for each of their 2 premierships. Can we have a star under the logo for each wooden spoon?

I'm considering sewing a couple of spoons into my home kit for the final home game, as it'll be one of the last times I wear that kit.

It's pretty much confirmed that we will have a new kit next season, the current on was for 11/12 and 12/13 only. And it would be highly unlikely for it to come from someone other than adidas.

We've got a better chance of gifting the spoon to Heart. They have Adelaide and WSW at home (they could be looking at just one point from those two games), and then two away games to finish the season. Would leave us just needing two wins, or a massive, massive win and a draw and we will offload the spoon.

Sydney FC also have to play the top three teams in the league still, and then finish the season against Roar, so the could possible get no more points, meaning we just need a good win and we'll go ahead of them (four losses will hurt their GD).

And if things really do go our way, we can still finish 5th.

Clutching at straws.

So what? what is it to you?  sometimes you need to hope there is a chance.

I hope to win 1st division in lotto tonight, but the reality is that I will not.
I can accept you have a valid point but you make it in the most negative manner.. Would it hurt to sprinkle some cheery dust on your posts?

Nah, those goals will come from Lia (5), Lochhead (4), Muscat (2) and Totori (2).

well Jets goal difference is 6 better than us, so if they lose both of their games and we win both of ours than the gap would quite possibly close. But it's unlikely Roar would go three games without winning one.

Now I see my mistake: Brisbane are playing Heart, so one of those teams has to get at least 30 points.

The season is over.

Incorrect. We can still sneak past either of them on goal difference, even if they are on 30 points. It is still possible for us to make the six, look at my scenario on the previous page.

That single point to the Jets, and the fact that Sydney and Brisbane have to play each other (which means that at least one of them will reach 31 points) mean that the Phoenix are officially out of playoff contention.

However we can still offload the spoon to Heart, Perth or Roar, depending on results. #dontstopbelievin
