Jeepers, our 4th game of the season hasn't yielded many points (5 losses on the trot) - just as well we have that easy fixture v Victory in Melbourne.

I know, I know, its serious!

Doesn't help that the last 3 of our Round 4 games have been away to Melbourne.

good point.

I wonder how seriously they'll take the FFA cup game? It's a chance for silverware and to be the first to win it. But on the other hand they probably fancy themselves to win the minor premiership and every point will count.

I wonder if they'll leave a few key players in Melbourne so they don't have to travel to Perth.

We broke the win drought when we beat the Heart in Melbourne last season. But our record v Victory away is appalling.

The way Victory are playing our defense needs to be solid, there is a reason they have most goals for. I just hope they do travel some players for FFA cup and it works to our adva

Yep, we haven't won against Victory in Melb. It's been painful 90% of the times I've gone. The closest I remember us coming was when Lia (!) scored from outside the box and we drew. This is the first Nix v Victory game in Melb I won't be able to go to; so we will definitely win.

Think we possibly had another 1-1 draw too but I can't remember it.

I remember brockie scoring a cracking free kick as well. But we still lost.

Believe we were 3-0 down and he scored 2 crackers in the last 5 mins or so to give us some kind of hope. Then we sort of just petered out in injury time.

Wasn't that the game where Alex Smith scored a great one for our first?

Nah, he scored in a different game against Melbourne. Think they might've hit 3 or 4 past us that game too.

It's never been pretty. I remember last time we played a really high line - I was pissed the whole game because it was so obvious that we were going to get screwed and Ernie never changed it. Won't happen again this time as we've given up that experiment.

All I know is that my Dad (Victory supporter) always walks out the happier!
