League Table 2014/15

FFA must be shiiting themselves.

Best grand final for them would be Victory vs Sydneee.....the big blew!!!!

Worst grand final for them would be Nix vs Perth in Wellington...LOL

Second worse would be GF in Wellington against anybody else

Third worse GF would be GF in Perth vs Nix

We have some big big games to come so we can't get ahead of ourselves making final predictions. But the last three games have been awesome....Wins over Victory  and Perth away and Adelaide at home.

Our team are the real deal and we have the smartest coach in the A-League. The AW absentees and possible injuries could play a big part but fortunately we can bring guys out of the reserve team who can do a job if called on. A home playoff game would be great.

Pretty remarkable that there's still only 4 points between first and fifth, and that will go down to 3 if Sydney get a result in their game in hand.

You know we belong together...

if it was gymnastics, diving or a slam dunk comp Wanderers & Jets would be very consistent

It's second, behind only the post which announced that This had been added. I assume most people that this'd that were actually just testing it out though.

Sydney and Victory are the teams that scare me and we have them 3 times...

The thing is those are going to be cracking games, the way a proper league should be. More important than the finals series in my opinion. If we're good enough, we'll win enough of them and we won't win through some sleight of hand, but by being the damn best team.

Perth and Adelaide are fading fast. Sydney have won 6 of their last 7 but have played WSW, Newcastle and CCM twice in that run. You can't discount them especially the way Janko is playing but I think their team is less dynamic. I think you would have to say that us and Melbourne are the best looking teams right now but that can change very quickly.

We play Sydney I think when the All Whites are away (plus possibly Roly too)

I'm kinda expecting the FFA to do the NRL regular cheat and suspend one or more of our players just before the important matches.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Easy to point the finger at the FFA when the players should not act like muppets in the first place and give them a reason to be looked at. If they are smart, they will have learned this. I expect this will not apply to Manny cause it seems he has not learned.

To be fair he has been a lot better than in the past and at least one booking this year seems to have been very soft and largely because it was Manny

Judging from the results during the season, our worst losses are 2-0 to Melb Victory and WSW.  Not too shabby at all.  Lets hope that it won't be repeated.

Sydney have not lost an away game this season yet.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

If we win this week we will have exceeded our highest ever points total after just 22 games!

Previous best - 41 pts - took 30 games in 2010/11. In 2009/10 and 2011/12 it took us 27 games to get to 40 pts.

Would definitely take a draw over Sydney. I've just been trying to work out our starting XI (minus internationals) and we're going to really struggle to get a squad together.

Holy cow

I am interested as to how they have cracked it away from home. In light of that, getting anything more than a draw would be a bloody good effort by our lads. The AFC break seems to have served them well too.

Agree, although Sydney will be -4 starters too.
