Top four is of course on next week, providing we have Archie, Allsopp and Muscat assassinated before friday.

The bird on Sky News reported that  Phoenix have moved to 6th on the table after the win over the Jets.
Moved from 6th........to 6th

top quality reporting there!
Realistically the best we can hope for would be a draw against melbourne and that puts us on 16. If we play a hell of a lot better than we did on Sunday then we might win and get to 18, which could see us in the top four if results go our way!

Just Allsopp would do. I have no idea why but NZ teams are always his favourite to play.

Kev set to give Fred a little bit of "how do you do?".

Presuming we win and hope to make top 4 as some suggest....The best results will be for Clogs and Bling to draw and for Perth to knock over Central Coast. Roar are going ok, but Perth??

It ain't going to happen this week, but it will happen.

I'd like to add that crazier things have happened

Any other matches that draws while we are winning in the same round is always good for us to climb the table. The more the other teams draw, the better for us always.

Come on Perth!

We gotta target the Perth game in two weeks to improve our GD. Its improving buts its gotta be in the positives by the end of the season if there is a top four logjam. I'd be happy with a point against Adelaide and then three and a three+ goal win gainst Perth.

Yeah winning in Adelaide is the hardest task in the A-league I would be happy with a point aswell.

Id take a 1 goal win over perth without thinking - when you get greedy things start to go wrong.

We are W5 D3 L5 after 13 games, having been W0 D2 L3 from our dreadful start.  So from the home game against Sydney on, we are W5 D1 L2, 16 points from 8 games.  The form team of the competition.

We are also just 2 pts short of last year's total, with 8 games to play.

While we might be 5th, we are just 2 points off 2nd. If my Round 14 picks are correct:
Nix v Reds - draw
CCM v QLD - draw
Perth v Tards - Tards
Jets v Bling - draw/Bling

I'm sure they all won't happen but that would leave us in 5th still with the Tards 5 pts clear at the top.

I think we'll probably find ourselves 6th next week unles we beat Adelaide. Sydney can overtake us by beating Perth, which I'm pretty sure they will.

Don't see why we can't beat Adelaide. It will be tough but not many people gave us a chance of being Melb either.

Oops, but tbh that probably makes it even easier for Bling, Perth looked alright yesterday and Newcastle are sh*t even with Griffiths, Milligan and GVE

That's the same Sydney that hasn't managed a win for, what, seven games now?

If I was a Bling fan I'd be pretty pissed at Kosmina's half time comment to his team to "stick it up the crowd". Sydney have been so poor that they deserve to be paid out by their supporters (even though I don't agree with booing your own players). You'd think he might earn more support from those fans by encouraging his team to turn those boos to cheers by showing a bit of pride in the blue shirt, ie, accentuate the positive. A total dickhead imo.

4 games, 2 losses 2 draws, though just 1 win in 8 games. I reckon a draw for them against Newcastle.

Well Adelaide took till the 93rd to score against a weakened Newcastle, we can definately take it to them.

Plus every other team getting a draw/1 point while we get 3, that's gotta be good for our top 4 prospects.
