Maybe quite a few.

But it will be worth the wait - he's been doing good work on them in the last couple of weeks.

When will we know the kick-off time on Sunday?

PS I know "home semi" sounds better, but it's not really a semi. It's an 1/8 final. If we're lucky we'll get a home quarter final, but we can't get a home "semi". Marketing, eh?!

The A-League site hasn't been updated with a time yet, I would guess it would be a 5:30pm game, since it's the only game on Sunday.

I like the look of that table. I hope Perth do throw their game, so we can beat the Jets and Perth will lose to someone else.

Corrected for you. This way we'd get a second home playoff game.

Yeah, they would then finish 6th and play 3rd, most likely gold coast.

That is why we want them to lose this weekend and finish 6th;
Because Newcastle are worse than them for our playoff next week
And because Perth are a better chance of beating GC, which is another home playoff week after.

Look aty the goals column for the two teams:
Perth Glory 26 10 6 10 38 34 4 36 Newcastle Jets 26 10 4 12 32 43 -11 34 Newcastle have second most goals against and second worst goal difference in the league.
Perth have scored second most in the league, one more than the Phoenix (with one still to play)
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Phoenix management were talking afterwards about a 5pm kick-off next Sunday, although a later time would obviously suit the FFA and the host broadcaster in Aussie.

NEwcastle however, are losing 2-1 to Adelaide with 10mins to go. Losers. At home to bottom team. So lookis like we will have Perth.

We had Perth over twice. 2-1 victory and 1-1 draw. The third result over there was our 2-0 loss.
Bring them on!

But if Perth end up 6th then we'll want them to win surely? 6th beating 3rd would give us another home game....if we win

...and just seen they are 5th...scrub that

and bring them on....they'll hate it.

oh, and Go the Jets!!!

Gold Coast probably not that chuffed about that result. It means that the Fury have a real incentive to pick up a point and avoid the wooden spoon! Still heaps to play for in top three and for wooden spoon.
Us? We can sit back and wait for Perth to pick up air miles and have a nothing / something / "what are we trying to achieve" game. I like it.

Bring on next Sunday.

I know, I know, its serious!

I'm just going to crack open another celebratory beer and luxuriate in this table for a while. What a fantastic achievement to finish 4th.

Yes, beautiful plummage that table.

Notice the lovely symmetry of points around 4th place - 4 either way.  Exquisite artistry.

That lovely subtlety is anice counterpoint to the bold font that draws the viewers eyes towards the main message....

WE ARE 4th PLACE (and whuckin amazing)

if Perth win by a margin of 3 - it was one of those 10 draws that got us over the line

(just thinking back to all that drawing angst - which no doubt i joined in from time to time )

be interesting to see one of those tables that tracked our league position each week this seeson (and over the clubs short, but wonderful, history!)

Not going to trainspot over all those draws - some we were lucky to grab the point and others we decided to drop two points and gift one to the opposition.

Aside from a couple of spankings we got (Roar and Tards) I do like that L column.

(We can take anybody on now ...'ceptins those tards @ Etitard).
