All the more reason for the league to expand to Wollongong

5th equal with a game in hand, the goal difference is even, still a competitive look to the team. We are still aesthetically number one in our strips, really can't see anyone else beating that.

Better goal difference than the Victory. Don't hear that often.

Great to see the league start off without a single cagey stalemate. I'd be happier if it had been a round of draws though.

Still, we should make an exception for the WP fans here. Nothing better that a bit of positivity.

Fury are ahead of us regardless of alphabet:

The gospel that is Wikipedia wrote:

  2. Highest number of goals scored;
  3. Highest number of points accumulated in matches between the teams concerned;
  4. Highest goal difference in matches between the teams concerned;

  6. Lowest number of red cards accumulated;
  7. Lowest number of yellow cards accumulated;
  8. Toss of a coin.[/quote]
We're all equal until 7. NQF has 0, we have 2, so we're 7th,

Oh, and:

You know, I don't think I really seen a league table that hasn't got the word "city" in any of clubs' name before . . . it's kind of a weird feeling.

Really important to not let our goal difference slip up this season, a clean sheet against the Clogs would be fantastic.

We just need central coast and sydney to lose.
Whoops... They are playing each other.

A win for sydney would put them 1st equal.
A win for central coast it would give them 7 points, One more then we get if we win.
If Central Coast and Sydney draw Sydney would be on 7. Again, one more than us.
Plus. Newcastle will probably beat Perth.

Therefore. 2nd place?. NO

Call me lacking ambition, but I would be quite happy to be on 4 points, come Sunday 7pm.

I do like pleasant surprises though.

I know, I know, its serious!

Given we've lost every game we've played away to the Roar, not to mention never beating them at our place, a point wouldn't be unwelcome.

I'd happily take 2 or 3 points (i.e. a win or 2 draws) from the next couple of away games. Would set us up nicely (i.e. build team confidence and help with big crowd) for the Adelaide home game in a couple of weeks.
