Yeah, but it could be worse. We have lost the equal least as well.

When do we next play Adelaide ? They are hopeless at the moment.

Define hopeless......they are just 4 draws different to us.  Wins are vital and that is what we need to continue to push for what is attainable top 6 and then the "must win game(s) can commence

13 goals in 22 games, only 3 in their last 6. Winless for quite some time. Losing plenty at home.

I fully agree though, we definitely need wins.

I know its tough but look on the positive side - we are also equal least losses! which is above average, the major thing is turning some of those draws into wins.

There is not a lot between all the teams. The team that makes the least mistakes ususlly wins.
We seem to have made too many.

those suspensions and the decision to give away the Ring o Fire advantage might cost us -

hopefully not to the extent Harry Hotspur is suggesting

really?

we may not have had a simple solution but i expect that if the club had been determined to play all home games at the RoF this season then that would have been negotiable

You think we WANTED to play in Palmy North? Seriously?

Last season, we couldn't play at home for almost three weeks due to the U17 WC and it didn't require giving away home advantage for games.

tigers is right in my opinion. I don't think the club tried very hard to find a solution. I think they saw it as an opportunity and perhaps Tony P is just trying to put a positive on it, but in the various quotes was something about always wanting to take the game outside of Wellington...

When I watched TW play at that stadium a couple of years back, I remembered thinking how much nicer Newtown Park was! It certainly looked sh*te on the television. With the speedway track and spectator fences, it looked more like a lower division Romanian ground!

Ive said the same thing all along and been called a conspiracist and countless other things. "taking the game outside of wellington" and how theyre very keen to do it has been the quotes. My guess is itll continue next season too.
I can understand this current 5 week gap where the pitch is unavailable may have been too long a period for the FFA to schedule around,so it may well have been necessary. But the proof in the nix management not trying hard to do so is january 30th. That game could easily have been swapped with another away game in the draw.

My suggestion,is they didnt try and they took it as an opportunity/excuse to take the game away from wellington,as they have suggested they have wanted to do in the media. Which means we were indirectly lied to? "While its true that the games cannot be played on these dates as the stadium is unavailable,we didnt exactly try to get ourselves an away game scheduled during these dates"

Allegedly

Glad to see we're still not far away in the table, but I'm struggling to see where our next win is going to come from, at least until our full strength team is back playing.

I hope you're wrong Tegal. Taking home games away from Wellington on a regular basis would change the nature of our relationship with the club - a bit like your wife having a regular boyfriend she sees twice a year!

Anyway, what was the crowd? It wasn't announced on the television and the A-League site hasn't published it yet.

So the lowest home crowd of the season, with the exception of the midweek game.

It still looked busier than the ROF does though...

It only has space for 18,000, so it was one-third full.  Our games at ROF have been relatively quieter.

i've watched 2 'home' games on tv this season

and whilst various pills might have dulled my senses for this one, I think we sounded considerably louder at the Rof
Permalink Permalink

It does sound louder and its the acoustics of the stadium," the roof of the Rof" that gives us the edge, imo.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!
