League table

Beautiful table that.

It is a wonderful work of art, a cool numeric representation that belies the toil, sweat, stress, pain and occasional sheddings of blood( -go the headbands!-) those magnificent Wellington Phoenix men have put in so far this season.
You certainly deserve every single cent of those bonus payments for goal achieved.

Thanks again WP players and management, its bloody wonderful being a part of this evolving history here in the RoF.
Being here to see the Phoenix start, from the first smatterings of comments and articles in the Dom Post pre-season 07/08 to a fully fledged, top four A-League finalist in just 3 seasons has been a magical journey.

As a youth playing football I remember looking from afar at overseas leagues, envious of people who could attend their own professional team's matches with passion and enthusiasm..and the heartache that comes with loyalty too.

The Wellington Phoenix are my second youth!!... and I see many others like me in the crowd at the RoF as well.
Behind the numbers in that table there's a wonderful story..long may it continue.

cheers, saves me having to go anywhere near SiNZ's dodgy predictor

no doubt game nine was angst central, with the sack Richie boys out and about

all those draws early on don't look so bad now!!!

If we'd turned just 3 of them into wins then imagine what we could be celebrating right now

But, can't compain, 4th was probably just above what I even expected and I am pleased we finally came good and did as well as the squad always seemed they could do!

Beautiful table that.

The only thing that can make it better is GCU losing to Fury, preferably with Smeltz making a tit of himself.

That would get us on to 46 points, so we could still finish 4th!

Oh yeah, I forgot to count the actual points we got from those games!

Well, imagine if we'd turned all 10 of those draws into wins...

Useless statistic #83: we didn't lose a single game of the 13 in which we scored first. 9 resulted in wins, 4 in draws.

For all our previous angst about draws, when you look at that stat over the course of the entire season it's a good effort. The Jest lost four after scoring first!

I reckon NQF will reach 32 points, currently dominating GCU and winning 1-0. That would mean 7th spot, a fantastic acheivment for them in their first season.
You know we belong together...

It's funny how people worry about goal difference so much all season and it doesn't matter at all in the end.

Was just thinking that...they will play each other three, and possibly four more times.
