You've never been cool.

No, seriously: if Ange takes over and reforms MVFC to be a respectable club no more brutal and arrogant than the A-League average, it will probably be good for everyone concerned.

The hate for MVFC is astounding, especially as they probably don;t give two hoots what other fans, especially the Phoenix.

Why is the hate for MVFC astounding?

Do you think that any club gives a sh*t what supporters from other clubs think of them? What has that got to do with anything?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Doug 'Champ' Golightly is such an idiot.  Went on a rant regarding Marco and Rodi this morning.  Raving on about how Rodi shouldn't be his agent rah rah.  Except he called Rodi Ronni.  Numpty

Met a couple of Chilean guys at a party last night....they were big football fans who followed the Nix. They both said they laughed like drains when they heard Marco say it was a big decision he had to make between choosing between playing for NZ or Chile.

They pointed out that having seen Marco play they consider he would not make the run on side of any Div 1 teams in Chile. They also said there were dozens of excellent attacking Chilean players playing in major leagues all over the Americas and Europe.

like this

but in my honest an unbaised opinion Rojas is a idiot
he signs a two year contract, when he would probably be off to eruope after 1
so if had signed a year deal at nix would have been much better

but now if  a european club wants him they have to pay a  transfur fee to MV

f**k you Rojas

i gona spend the whole all whites game abusing you

Your summary is pretty much on the nail there.

As for Marco, well, at least we now know where we stand. Good luck to him.

The wiseness of going to Melbourne still doesn't make sense to me. It's not like they are setting the field on fire with bring up their own local talent. I think if he had stayed here, he would have had a stable family type atmosphere where the staff would have nutured him.

Still his, or should I say, his fathers decision. Whether or not this turns out to be the wisest course remains to be seen.

Stupid bloody immature 19 year old getting swept up by his and his dads ego

This coming from a 18 year old!

Seriously, very dissapointing. There seems no valid reason for leaving, and the dude hasnt been straight up with the fans about why he has made this call.

Good luck to the dude, but I hope manny knocks him up next time he comes to the ring of fire!

I still don't understand where all this rubbish about it being his dads decision has come from.

It's based on nothing.

Rodi spilt a lot of beans to some feverettes when he probably should have kept his mouth shut. Started a lot of unneccersary stories. I think everyone was a bit excited about what was happening and people saying/taking things the wrong way.

agree with you here. think he's a bit immature to make such a big decision.

Did anyone listen to his interview on saturday scoreboard just now?

unfort I missed most of it. but wil listen on demand later.

Just saw the Goudie interview. While I wouldn't say he came across as egotistical as some on here put it, he missed a chance to be honest with us as to why he was leaving. He has said previously he hopes we can understand his decision but if he doesn't give any decent reasons, why would he expect anything other than the angst, left-field theories, rage and insults? I don't buy the "Melbourne has better facilities" reason because I don't believe that alone justifies his moving on. It's his decision, that's fine by me, but I don't think it would hurt for him to front up honestly to his fans. While we don't own him, Yellow Fever scholarship aside, without passionate fans and their clubs there are no professional footballers. I think he might have got carried away and caught up in the hype.

Good luck Marco, but I think you need to check yo self before yo wreck yo self.

Yip, fair enough. But then he is dreaming if he expects any of us to understand or respect his decision and any negativity he receives from fans is all part of the consequences of his decision.

I'll be moving on in that I think the team is better off without players who don't want to be part of the Phoenix. I won't however be joining any choruses of "I back Marco wherever he is playing" (unless for the All Whites, of course!) until he shares the reasons why he's bailing. If he doesn't like the reaction from Nix fans to his move, too bad. He is now playing for a rival team afterall.

Who heard RH comment to Rojas as he came off at RF "you need to do that for the full 90" We can not offer what a young footballer wants he wants, Weekly top level game time. Not bull sh*t NZFC play games for players of Proffessional level.
LEAVE THE KID ALONE.  we need to promote good players not turn them off YF.

Agree with all that.He wouldn't be silly/naive enough to think he's not going to get stick from us next year. That is part of Football.
