I am more selctive. I cant consider Smeltz a judas as the nix just dont have enough money to afford him. They want him but they aint got the cash to pay for him. Plus he has other factors like he has lived over there before, his wife etc.
marco on the other hand, a different story.

totally, Smeltz was never going to be able to stay, we wanted him, he'd havce loved to have stayed had the price been right, but his wife was never going to be happy anywhere but the gold coast. Marco, just left cos the grass is greener anywhere but where you are.

I find some of the comment pretty sickening, especially the poll which is totally negative.
Yes, Yellow Fever gave him a chance to trial at the Phoenix and he took that chance and became a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLER. Not a Yellow Fever or Phoenix pet.
As a professional, he has to, and would be dishonouring Yellow Fever if he didnt, follow what he believes to be the best course to further his career.
Just as Kosta did, he has decided that his football and personal future is better served by moving. Other players have made and will make that decision, and the club has made and will make that decision for other players. The FFA has made that decision for a whole club and its players.
With the uncertainty over the financial future of the Phoenix, I can only agree with him and wish him the best while being sad to see him go from our club.
Marco, I hope your move is as successful as Kosta's and that both of you earn the chance to move to Europe ASAP and have long ansd successful All White careers on top..
