City in red hot form & we have never won on a Monday.

Our upcoming draw is awful.
So many late games before work days. As well as games in Perth, Tasmania and Sydney in the space of 7 days

Time to switch to blue kit.  Keep the red kit for more promising games.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Well City lost, we'll either cash in or get absolutely snotted.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Only watched the highlights, but from that it looked like City were rather unlucky not to score several times. Keep that up please!

They butchered so many chances last night. Western didn't look close to scoring until Diamanti came off the bench, his presence changed the game.

Any news on Taylor or Piscipo?

Bad news on Taylor. McGing has been quite underrated for the work he's done at the back with Payne, too bad he's also injured. Josh Laws doesn't strike me as someone that is confident and not sure what happend to Te Atawhai since end of last season.

I also think Uffie is bang-on about Lewis being a deeper mid rather than an attacking mid, at Handy level then sure he can be the attacking mid but in the A-league he's more suited to being a deeper mid and I think he can really excel playing there. I would actually prefer Lewis playing the deeper role with Rufer and Devlin replacing Piscopo by having the license to roam and cause havok up front.

Got to agree with Talay. We've played some of the best football with a consistent squad. Inconsistency has hurt us.

Bad news. This would be a hard game with a full fit team. I'm not sure when the season with the much neede 2-3 wins in row will start. So far it's all underwhelming. Yes, blabla we played some blabla, good blabla games. Does not help to climp the ladder.
With Uffi gone, next season will be ANOTHER transition year.

This seasons a write off, i think we can beat City if Hemed comes good or Ngoy starts.
As for Talay he is good as gone and the players know this,, it why hey have been a bit off setting in the last few games.

I just realised why we have been so indifferent. No one from our team for the last few years has worn the "Lucky Head bandage". Tim Brown, we need your bandage back.

Be interesting to see what Uffie is wearing tomorrow. Pretty sure it was the luckless suit attire last game out against Macarthur.

As unlikely as it is, 3 points against City would be massive. COYN!

City without Jamieson today. Could exploit the space behind Garuccio. I would go with the Devlin-Lewis combo today and bring in Sotirio into the starting Xl.

What is City's defensive record like?  Even if we accept that it is hard to stop them from scoring (unusual cases like their game against WU excepted), we should also draw fresh lessons from our under-par-attack debacle against Macarthur.

They have conceded 15 goals in 13 games, so one of the best records. They are P7 W3 D0 L4 on the road, so still have issues away from home.

Heh, so guna be be a bit quiet in here with the Phoenix city twitch. Can't get it synched or to play in the background, so well check in and out.
Possibly quietest match thread?
