We were tired in the second half of Thursday's game. Dunno how Uffie can freshen them up in time. Maybe Rufer back into the midfield for Devlin, McGarry to start.
Very disappointed that Charles L hasn't managed to make any impact yet.

He and McGarry botched a couple of promising flank attacks through lack of understanding and in the end I felt he was actually hampering us a bit. Tried hard though, I'll give him that.

Yeh I thought that Hemed needed someone crumbing or at least diverting defenders. Imai and co. defended him well with some last ditch efforts, but our attack that way was quite telegraphed. And Hemed has scored mostly with his feet, and often picking up scraps or loose play himself.

As much as i want us in the top 6 we are never beating Adelaide, not with the form we showed last game. Adelaide will be running at us all night and with so many tired legs we will only be good for the 1st half. I think to have any chance what so ever is to use the 5 subs available and not drain some of our players for the full 90mins again.

Am pretty nervous about this one. 3rd game in a week. After the flat performance against WU, can we bring the required energy and intensity to get a win here. Adelaide have a good attack in Goodwin, Juric and Halloran and Toure off the bench. There are going to be goals, can we score more than them. How much have the likes of Ball and Davilla got left in the tank.
C'mon Nix, big shift required today.

If we can't put a strong performance against a 10-man team, don't think we will be able to string together against one of the in-form teams of the competition.
Adelaide to walk through us.

Fire Up!
Maybe we're going to see some of the squad? Muratovic has looked average- but is quick and has a couple of goals more than Ngoy

First time we've played Adelaide this season isn't it. Thought they'd be right down near where we are to be honest, but I guess that shows what I know 😅
Few changes, most likely related to freshness. Think it'll be a backs to the wall type performance but there'll be goals in this one. Results so far this weekend have mostly gone our way, so got to back the boys to get up - our season is pretty much riding on getting 3 points today.
Nix 3-2. Waine to continue his good goal scoring form with a double.
COYN, Farken fire up! 🔥🔥🔥

Last weekend was one of those wonder weekends where the Phoenix AND the warriors win (and the chiefs- chahoo!), perhaps this will be another magic weekend (although not likely with Adelaide and the storm, but you never know!).

I hope that's the last post we hit this season.

Might be just me and my opinion, but McGarry has got probably one of the closest touches in this team. Some class turns and deft touches to get away from players. Would love to see him in a more advanced role because he's got blistering pace too.

Really tired looking Lewis to lose that possession. Needs to concentrate here.

Good save Sail, but poor turnover from Lewis in the middle for that one. Need to be wary of that, especially with them pressing like they do.

So great watching Waine improve at the rate he is. He's getting better and better at all those little tricks of positioning and ball protection.
