Lots of good news this week: promising signings, season ticket numbers on the rise, busy club day, Terry in fighting mood, ad on TV....things are moving along nicely.

I thought the off season would never end, but now I'm finally, finally starting to get excited. Congrats to all involved who made the club day such a success, and to all the fans who went along. Great to see so many star-stuck kids in the photos, even the 6 foot, balding ones.

Apparently we've got a sponsor in the works too according to someone on this forum?

Mmmm . . did they offered discount season tickets? That might have boost a few seating numbers.

Anyway, great pictures, much better and friendier than Real Madrid showcasing Rolando who spoke a bit and did a terrible ball jugging act.

Perth had their open day on Sunday.Wife and daughter went as I was working.
The young one came home buzzing, she just thought it was fantastic.
Good to see the clubs letting their supporters get up close to the players.

Just a fantastic day yesterday.  Special mention from me for Daniel and Mark Paston.  These guys were absolutely fantastic with my son who was feeling a little shy.  Daniel saw I had a camera in my hand and without being asked organised a photo which will now be a 10 by 8 on my son's wall.  Guess who his favourite player is now!  He is such an asset to the club from a PR point of view, never mind how he is playing on the pitch.  Paston had time for a chat to my son and just seemed a good guy.  Also Ricki was really great, asked a question about Diego by the guy in front of us, didn't fob him off, just a straight answer and again just a really genuine bloke.  What a great day and a great way to connect with the fans.  Never mind superstar signings, I'll take a squad of guys who want to be here for the club and the community any day.  Roll on 16th August.

Daniel is my young son's favourite player as well. This dates right back to the very first Open Day (before any of us had even seen the Phoenix play a proper game!) when Daniel kicked around a football with him - he could hardly speak English then, but he could certainly communicate with the kids no problem! My son may not get to see him play much (unfortunately), but he's still the best from his point of view!

That is either Daniel Keat or Sam Blackburn for sure!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
