am i allowed to ask why its so expensive??? flights should only be 5-600... so you are asking for lets say 5-600 pp accomadation... twin share.. thats 1200 bucks for one room (2 people) for six nights.... errr..... correct me if im worng though

well, looking at the qantas website, i reckon the best deal you could get on those dates would be 670ish return. add $100 per night for accom (which isnt too bad i dont think) and your at 1270. throw in breakfast each day, transfers, the fact you get to travel with a group and dont have to organise diddly, and i reckon 1300 is pretty reasonable. I thought Wayne did a very good job organising an extremely awkward tour to the World cup so recommend his services.

of course you could save a few dollars if you wanted to sleep on someone's couch or stay at a backpackers - but i think in terms of accommodating varying preferences and budgets a 3 star hotel, twin share is a good option.

Disclaimer: i have no vested interest in this tour and im almost certainly not going.

no arguments with that price marius - apart from the fact the rooms are twin share so in theory you are paying $200 a night per room - which is on the medium to high range i would imagine.

We were somewhere cheaper last month, think it ran to $85 a night.  I'd pay the extra $15...

How's my driving? - Whine here

i tought it was a good price. then again I usually eat $40 worth of breakfast.
Good option if you have an end of season trip - saves hassles.

AAMI Park is a football ground in Melbourne, AAMI Stadium is an AFL ground in Adelaide.

Why would Melbourne Heart be playing at a stadium in Adelaide?

Three for me, and two for them.

I think the package sounds very reasonable - my MCG trip came to near on a grand and I stayed at a backpackers.
I might be joining you, but probably not on the package as I don't live in Wellington and I'd rather opt for a backpackers, what with all those foreign girls and everything!

Half by chance, half by design I'll be in Melbourne for the Victory game on 15th. Anyone know what an away match ticket for the Victory typically costs?

Think it's $20-$25

Not sure if it'll be different for the new stadium thoughvaleo2010-07-03 22:43:19
