Voted 4 real this time.  Manny, simply for that precious goal line clearance.

Pasty saved our bacon too many times to count (apart from the one time that Manny saved his bacon)

Siggy. Manny may have saved us that once on the line but Siggy saved us several times including a 2 v 1. He manages to pull sh*t off that a player simply shouldn't be able to. The man should wear a cape.

Fuck this stupid game

Muscat and SigmUnd were the best two for me, but Manny gets my vote for the goal line clearance.

Siggy was the only one who I felt completely confident would win one-on-one challenges. Even Manny got run around at least once if I remember right, although I must admit my attention wavered at time.

Manny close second for the goal-line save and Timmy third for the goal, even though it pains me that the goal will seal his place in the starting lineup for the rest of the season.

I'm not sure what is with the Siggy love. He was invisible today.

Gave Paston some love, thought he did well in coming back after a long absence, especially with no game time in a reserve squad or anything.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Wonder how much love he'd be getting if Manny hadn't saved his arse with the goal line clearance? Jag2012-01-15 23:20:53

Also note that Siggy did not score today and didn't score last week. It's nice that he gets goals, but what else is he in the team for?martinb2012-01-15 23:21:07

+1 Nearly set himself up for the YF GK anti love fest.

I am not a SigmUnd fan but I have to agree. He was our best player. Manny had the goal line clearance but that could have been anyone. Had it been Ifill would it have made him MOM? SigmUnd was quite a valuable and reliable last man and gave up no fouls (maybe 1)

The fact that 5 people have gone for Paston shows they really have their all whites tinted glasses on.

Siggy for me,
am I the only one who thought paston was woeful. Distribution was beyond terrible and a couple of times came for the ball and didnt get near it. Plus "that" mistake

Yeah he kicked a few straight over the sideline. And almost pulled a Warner. Some great reaction saves as well though.

It was much better in the second half when he started playing it shorter, I much prefer seeing us play it out from that back.

Dunno what was up with Ifill...did nothing the first half but turn over possesion after one touch and that backheel to Downey in the second half was rediculous...we had players running into the box! C'mon!

Anywho enough splitting hairs, we won.

I voted immovable Sigrock, was everywhere when it mattered.

He pulled off some good saves and he is out of practice, but it got pretty damn shakey at the start of the second half.

interesting that hardly any of the midfield garnered any points, Tims two votes either for the goal or that Janelle has voted twice

I'm hoping Downey can get some more game time. Even as someone to come off the bench. That speed of his running at tired defences.. surely it's going to have to pay off.

He should have scored though.. more shooting practice for that lad.

Was great to have Paston back. The one he spilled, at least he was down, Warner would have hit the ground 1 second too late.

Yeah there is a little hypocrisy about it although, it needed to go in to be a case of apples for apples.

Fair call.

I guess he's got another few games of f**king up though before we need to even consider putting Warner back.

Apples with apples.

True, but it still makes me laugh.

For the record, again, I think Warner and Paston are as good/bad as each other.

True. Now he's back in, he should be given a decent run of games
