Noticed Sony on the back too. They were only on the front last year weren't they?

Actually - I don't get all this hate about adidas for the Nix shirts.  We aren't being charged $220 and the kids shirts are more expensive than last year but not excessively.

As Smithy has mentioned there are YF options and probaly some cheap old season stripeys if you look around (didn't the Tawa outlet stores have them cheap a while back?).

As for kitting out the kids - how about a supporters polo first (that's how we started: $35 each)?  Plus flags, clappers, caps, thundersticks... could probably do all that and still be short of $120.

+10000000000000000000000

My point of view is: if you support your team, do it unconditionally! Bit*hin about $5 rise in price is stupid. It only makes YOUR team and its sponsors look bad. and I am sure no one wants that with nix at the moment. Just thinking about off season controversies and negativity circulated by media makes me SO mad. Moaners are only fueling it by saying things like how it is unfair and all other bullcrap. GROW UP!

Award Winning journalism!

What i want to know is how the fuck are the "old ones better"? Do these stupid people even realise that Reebok are owned by Adidas?

What's that got to do with whether someone thinks the old shirt is better than the new one??

Who cares anyway? Don't be a sheep, make your own shirt ftw!

I've gotta say, earlier today I was a bit disappointed with the kit.

However through the day it has certainly grown on me.

At this rate it'll overtake the old stripey by tomorrow morning :D

How is that relevant? They are different shirts.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

New stripey is awesome! ..I wasn't a big fan of the old one, Reebok's design just didn't do it for me.

Interesting that both TV3 and Dominion Post have mentioned the All Blacks jersey price, but TV3 said it was good that the Phoenix shirt was much cheaper where the Dominion Post say the kids tops are too expensive..

Like it

Of course the price is going to be an issue and be noticed, as Adidas and their pricing are all the news at the moment

I think the launch has got a lot more publicity than it ever would have and the fact that the shirts are not off the map pricewise has been good for the club

Thanks to all the journos actually

Really like the new shirt, think it's a big improvement on the original stripey.

Love the new shade of yellow, and the fact that there so much more yellow on the shirt too.

Having a different opinion or preference is hate? Or is that stupid? Or both?

It's really nice design but it is a blatant rip off of Hull City's kit, it's exactly the same except different sponsor and crest.

Did you really expect Adidas to design a kit specifically for us when they couldn't even design a kit with stripes on the back for Hull?

At least the release of our shirt came on the day Gold Coast also released their shirt and ours is better.

Ya gotta admit though... Its only the colour and badges that are different. Could have tweaked it a tiny bit?

Especially when he didn't have a go at hitting the targets after the crowd wanted him to.

Bit tough on yourself there, LiverpoolFan1.
Good job imo, with a good balance of humour, light-hearted comments and crowd engagement. Not your fault if the "talent" can't perform when required!

My two favourite teams have EXACTLY the same kit! What are the chances? Just a slight colour difference in the yellow. Hull is slightly more amber, Phoenix is more fluoro.

That kit is worse than our season one, which wasn't that bad, but that kit is bad.

Those fans were only brought in so that the players wouldn't look like the worst dressed people on the Gold Coast.

The real question is, will the Stripey v2 be the kit of the Nix in FIFA12?

So when do we get to see the away kit, and more importantly, the keepers kit(s).

We goalkeepers are people too. Somewhat strange people, but people nonetheless.

I remember someone posting that Hull kit and me saying that I wouldn't want our kit to look like that. Wish we went with the Paraguay template but meh, still got the best kit in the league.valeo2011-08-10 21:28:40

On that theory it's the same as a million other teams.

If the Hull away/alternative kit is anything to go by... The stripes will be sideways and it will be in a light blue colour. If that happens, I;d be highly suspect of Adidas!
