So we don't have Wellington Beds as an arm sponsor anymore?

Does look like a space on the arm for a potential sponsor.

love that away strip!...were we the last to release their kits in the a-league?

Adelaide still to release theirs as far as I'm aware?

Tough one between Sydney and Gold Coast for worst strips in the league. AWFUL!

No wonder the Coast doesn't have any fans.nzmanu2011-08-11 15:45:32

You dick. That actually made me laugh out loud. Now everybody's looking at me.

Me also.  That is a tremendous photo of Iffs.  He'll be stoked!

It gets worse. Apparently that is the end result of actually practising!

En route to check out @EliteHealthNut modeling the new @WgtnPhoenixFC strip!! Hehe! He's been practicing his poses all nite! Hehe ;)

Both nice, will grow on me with the home, liked the old yellow. Do like it though. The new away shirt is good, looks a little like L.A. Galaxy but that's a nice kit too.

Dual purpose away strip..useful for All Whites supporters.  More usable as a cafe shirt ahead of match days.

Why didn't they reveal the away top at the event yesterday?? Weird.

Ifill does look very strange in that picture!

Any word on when the tops are out. Kind of bizarre to have this publicity and then wait another month to actually put the things on sale.

Should be on sale early September. You can pre-order at RYOS if you want to make sure you get one.

I would but size is a bit dubious so I'd like to try one on before I buy.

Frankly I think that dompost article is a disgrace.  To have a headline that shirts will cost more when there is a $5 increase on a price set 2 seasons ago - and then to compare prices to shirts that are on sale - that is shocking.  There is an issue with the price of replica sports gear in New Zealand, the place for that to be discussed is not in a piece on the release of the Phoenix kit.

Same here.

One change I preferred about the old kit was having the central stripe black. That might have ruined having plenty of yellow though. Can't wait to get mine.

Do RYOS do the official printing?

Excellent suggestion. Will have to rethink about not buying this season.

Think the away strip is nice. Not decided about the yellow panels down the side though.

So, with the new long sleeves available, which player will we see wearing it?
I can see:

Downey
Durante maybe,
Lochhead
Muscat
Leo
Daniel (for sure)
Pantelis maybe
Ifill (although looks a bit odd in the pic)

Dont think we will see a guy like Greeny in one, seems like too much of a traditionalist. Although I think i may have seen him in one when playing for Tranmere?

Think it'll be interesting who goes for it!

If anything longsleeves are the more traditional. I want one. Bad

Love the look of  the Away strip. There is something classy about playing in white. Still not convinced about the Home strip.
