Im not totally against the idea of a shirt for each region, but if someone at the club thinks that they can produce a few hundred of these and expect to sell them all, theyre dreaming.

A better idea would be to create an Auckland kit, Canterbury kit... etc, have something unique printed on the front like 'Wellington Phoenix vs *whoever*, Eden park, Auckland, <insert date here>" , and then sell those 15 or so shirts on Trade Me as theyve always done with these one off kits.

On the podcast, they spoke about having a special shirt for each of the 2 or 3 home & away games next season. It is a good idea but you would probably struggle to sell enough to make it worthwhile. So rather than doing one for each venue, what about doing a special black one to use at those games?

Did they actually say that replica shirts would be made though? Like AJ13 said, its more likely they would just sell the squad shirts like the Charity ones.

I only know what was said on the Podcast but that sounded like the idea was to sell them to the public. Maybe Hard News, 2nd best and co can clarify?

Each year the club makes a special shirt they donate to a charity. That may well happen more this year, hence club to sell shirts. Only guess work.

But if the charity fits buy the shirt.

throwing my opinion out there  -  I like the the charity strips, but I think having a new one for each game we take somewhere else may emphasize the whole travelling circus thing.

Maybe if the strip wasnt dramatically different it could work - but id be worried if we wore 6 different kits during one season (Home, Away, Charity, 3xHomeAway Games)

Warriors-esque.

I would be happy for a Stripey, clash kit and a home & away shirt.

Latest Adidas stripy template. Can almost guarantee after a change of colour, this will be our new kit

EDIT: http://www.live4soccer.co.uk/blog/products-news/201314-adidas-teamwear-range-out-now/

Looks like that is the range of Adidas templates for the coming season, so chances are the away kit/any one-off kits will be one of these.

One thing I did notice from those links was that it no longer has the little triangle cut out of the stripe on each side on the front

That seemed to be unique to us, u didn't see it on any other adidas kits around the world over the last two seasons. Hmm.

I think Stoke's 2011/12 kit had the little triangle as well (But none of the others, can't see a clear picture of Stoke 12/13 kit either to confirm that one)

So basically the same kit. Hope they go for yellow on black this time, as opposed to black on yellow, like the TW kit.

Something like this.. with a brighter yellow though

like like like! Yellow on Black is way better.....

I quite like the brightness of the yellow in this one, also like the neck style..have to say that although I dont actually like the stripey, I think our current stripey could be improved on vastly

I think the current yellow could be toned down a bit, but should not go towards the gold of above....the CCM yellow is ok.

Looking at my Munich shirts with the "Mia San Mia" detail in the collar on the home strip and back of collar on away kit.. (Google it). I reckon it would be awesome if we could get something with meaning printed on the new kits, cant think of what it would say though...

If not this idea just something else really original to make it different to standard kits

Yea nice point. If memory serves, an older Deportivo kit (made by Canterbury) had a skull and cross bones image inside the collar and at the bottom on the back. Think it was a reference to some geographic thing to do with their city.

Yeah something simple like that. Put it out the the public to decide, adidas can market the sh*t out of it and build up some hype for the kit launch.

Rate that. Plain sleeves with full adidas stripes look a bit retro with that collar. Also like the stripes going all the way up

I meant more along the personalisation of the kit. USA ran a competition with the public on twitter, best tweet was used on the shirt.

And the Aussie kit had motivational printing underneath the badge on the left hand side.

Pompey's Canterbury kits had a quote from King Richard I on them for a few seasons. Possibly a something about wellington from one of the quotes around the waterfront?

Pretty much all Nike kits of international teams have some sort of inspirational message imprinted there.
