this season was better for the buyer as auctions all closed at the same time,so when you lost an auction it was harder to get into another apart from the ones that auto extend by 2 minutes when people bid in the last minute or so

last season was better for the seller as they all closed about 10 minutes apart so if you lost the shirt you were chasing you just went onto the next auction and so on until the last one closed

Yeah or this ^^ thats an easier way of putting it.

In what way? They were listed straight after the Adelaide game and on trademe for 10 days.

TradeMe say the most 'active' bidding takes place during the closing moments of an auction, so if an auction closed at about 5:30pm on a weekday there would be a fair few less bids than if it were to have closed at say 8:30pm, for obvious reasons mentioned earlier. Doesnt help that they all supposedly closed at the same time either. You can have listing closing times 'staggered' at 15min intervals if you like, surely this would have meant for higher selling prices.
I went in early with a low auto bid (other than the one I wanted), checked a few times and uped it as required. 1 auto bid was placed at the max I would pay on day one and it did not even get close to be beaten. Last year I chased the sales at the closing of the earliest shirt was lucky I got one(only by slipping a bid in in the last few seconds) but not the one I wanted.
The bidders were just not their this year.

Just had a thought .I was walking to the mall today in my stripey and couldnt help but notice all these bumble bees coming up to me and thinking i was some kinda giant yellow flower . i must have shoo'd away at least 6 bees plus others that i might not have noticed. Anyway it got me thinking Have any other stripey wearers had the same problem or even been stung while wearing it ?

also does this deserve a thread of it's own ?

Have a bright yellow roller at work that attracts bumblebees for some reason. I think they think it's the mother ship.

Fuck this stupid game

Will we be picking up a new kit this season? Seeing as we have been going in 2 year cycles so far?

Permalink Permalink

Haven't heard any word. Would imagine it should.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

That was the rule when the entire league was with Reebok, but not sure we're still going by this or not. Heart have already had two different strips in the last 2 seasons.

Heart changed kit suppliers, they only had a 1 season deal with ISC.

I was thought the current shade of yellow gives us a sort of high-vis, roadworker overalls kinda vibe. Probably explains the laziness from some of the lads last season too

Definately new kit. sounds like it pretty similar to what we have.

cool so a new kit is confirmed? I imagine it'll be pretty much a 2013 version of the current one rather than a major redesign - we are still gonna be with adidas I guess

It's less neon this season apparently.

Theres not a lot you can do with stripes apart from tweak a few bits. Just look at Newcastle Uniteds adidas kits through the years. They could make the back all black instead of yellow.
