A very good effort!

Poor effort by the club once again though on the "Social Media" front, 18 Hours since it has closed and they have not put out a thing.

They may be smart and wait until all the money is in before blowing their trumpet to find some pull out and don't pay.

Have just noticed as well according to the Club Website, Ricki Herbert is our coach? Have I missed something?

Boxall and Lia were the last two left so that may have driven up the bidding. Dura's was a bargain relatively speaking. I was surprised at the low price for Fenton.

i was going to chase dura's but figured it would be one of the more expensive so did not go back and look after it got over $300.00, thought he would make over $1,000.00

t5he club's websites are poor across the board, the FFA run them I think. Even player changes are slow and often incorrect

The other problem was that the auctions all ended at the same time, there wasn't a gap like last time.

And they ended at 5.30pm when most people would be heading home from work. Should have ended them in 10 minute intervals starting from 8pm.

When it comes to the Nix and their online engagement, I think quite a lot of us know better.

Its a bit rich for me as well. I was hoping to get outbid but no one else bid with 20 minutes to go. Nevermind. Still happy that I got one.

How not to run online auctions 101. Probably missed out on a potential few thou

In what way? They were listed straight after the Adelaide game and on trademe for 10 days.

Permalink Permalink

this season was better for the buyer as auctions all closed at the same time,so when you lost an auction it was harder to get into another apart from the ones that auto extend by 2 minutes when people bid in the last minute or so

last season was better for the seller as they all closed about 10 minutes apart so if you lost the shirt you were chasing you just went onto the next auction and so on until the last one closed

TradeMe say the most 'active' bidding takes place during the closing moments of an auction, so if an auction closed at about 5:30pm on a weekday there would be a fair few less bids than if it were to have closed at say 8:30pm, for obvious reasons mentioned earlier. Doesnt help that they all supposedly closed at the same time either. You can have listing closing times 'staggered' at 15min intervals if you like, surely this would have meant for higher selling prices.
