No but seriously, I've also been wondering about the whole karma thing. Is it just to let others know that you're well liked on the forums ? Because if so, I won't be getting a lot of karma will I ? So then people won't take me seriously...rinse, repeat.

We haven't really decided what we'll do with karma yet. It might be that after a certain number of points you get special avatar options and stuff. Or it might be that until you have a certain number of karma points your posts require approval - to stop those 1-post-warriors.

Just realised my favourite part of the THIS! system is that it allows me to sift through the bollocks when I've got tonnes of unread posts in a thread. 

100 unread posts? Well then if it's not THIS!ed, I'm not reading it.

The flip side of this is that if you are getting these karma points, it probably tells you that the posts you make are hitting a note with people and not full of bollocks. In other words, if you have low karma, you probably either talk a lot of bollock or not post much. Its a great idea, but not something you should hang yourself over if you are not getting any.
