How does the sizing of the new Paladin kits compare with that of the previous Adidas kits?

My 3XL Away Shirt arrived this morning.

Looks great, however, it is a LOT smaller than the Adidas shirts.

It is a similar size to an XL in Adidas.

Paladin 3XL = 48.8" Chest

Adidas 3XL = 55.6" Chest

In Paladins Rugby range they offer up to 7XL, (their  6XL is a similar size to the Adidas 3XL !)

The size guide is on the FC page so I just got the biggest on offer knowing it would look like a cycling jersey on me!

Off to the gym I go!

If they all look like that, it will be a struggle to get shirts off in the ten minutes before full time.

Forget that how about a decent supply of shirts as first run must have been bloody small.

Are the new shirts eventually going to be available at rebel/stirling sports?

The second drop of jerseys is due to us this time next week. Then there should be enough for the season.

We will give a more accurate ETA as and when we can.

We will also know if we can get hold of bigger shirts than those we initially ordered.

We received no size guides prior to placing our order so now we know how big/small they are we will adust our order accordingly.

In regards to the rest. The Paladin merch' should be here on or about season start.

The secondary tier of merch' is now a week overdue from a delivery date that was a month overdue !!!

Again, just as soon as we catually sight this we can advise how quickly it will be available for purchase.

Preliminary images are ready so it should be a pretty quick process once it gets here.

Really surprised about the sizing given they supply a heap of rugby teams you would think they are used to needing larger sizes.Oh well guess i save some money bad enough for others me  taking shirt off at 80min without standing for the other 70 as if i have been poured into my shirt.

(disclaimer  for those who cant distinguish this is said in jest)

obviously not FC's fault, but this all seems a bit difficult and i'm wondering if the Phoenix missed a good opportunity here

ps, the kits are still mint, so paladin deserve a lot of leeway

Hi ladies/gents

A quick update.

Yesterday we received the players Yellow training jerseys and Rain jackets (these are now available in-store and online) plus a small amount of top up Mens Away jerseys in Med/2XL and 3XL.

We are due more Home in all sizes (except 3XL) and the rest of the sizes of Away jerseys plus more Junior and womens jerseys in-store on Friday. The 3XL jerseys will be delivered later for some reason ??

That wont allow us enough time to apply names and numbers but we will extend the free name and number offer out for another 2 weeks to compensate for the delays.

Anyone who wants to take up that offer but wants their shirt for the game can collect it pre game and return it at any time for personalisation.

We will facilitate pick ups in store pre game plus anyone who wants to collect their prepaid jersey at the game from the Merch booth at aisle 23 can do so. You just need to advise thats your intention when you order it.

The second tier of supporters gear (non-Paldidn) is still lost in transit. It was due September 1 but as seems the norm for these licencees they couldn't orgonise a p*** up in a brewery. If and when it arrives we will promote and publish straight away.

Rgds

Just looking at the FC website and it seems that the size guides for the home/away jerseys is quite different to that of the training jerseys so I thought I'd post so that everyone's aware.

1/2 chest (cm) for each size

Mens home/away jerseys

XS 48, S 49, M 51, L 52, XL 53, 2XL 56, 3XL 62

Mens training jerseys

XS n/a, S 51, M 53, L 57, XL 60, 2XL 62, 3XL 64

The training jerseys seem to run larger - maybe they figure that you are training to lose weight!

Yes the training tee is a different fit from the playing jersey. Obviously cut from a different pattern. Our sized guides were taken from measuring actual product so you can be confident they are accurate.

We are now being sent more 3XL Home jerseys. These and the rest of the jersey order (Home and Away) should be with us today. We will confirm via social as soon as they have arrived. We will try our best to get as many jerseys personalised in time for collection before the game as is possible.

We are ordering 4XL, 5XL and 6XL jerseys. We believe these will have to get made so they may be 8 weeks away. Again we will provide updates on delivery as soon as we are advised.

Long sleeve Home jerseys should still be in the pipeline but we have had no confirmation on these being available any time soon.

It's not a designated number but YF used 21 on those latest tops they made, I assume cause that's the aisle they are in. Currently McCowatt is wearing it this season.

Perhaps for a "name" you could use either "Aisle" and have number 21 or 22. Or as a name you could use "Row __ (insert your row letter here) ??" and number 21 or 22. Just an idea.

I usually like a 4XL as i like baggy tops. But this year I went with the 3XL and it fits good without my puku being embarrassing - too much. If in doubt order a size "too large"

I'm tempted but would like to see an actual picture rather than a mock up first.

Its not a very nice shirt..

Yes I'd say spectacularly bad.  Imagine ripping off the garish training jackets to reveal that training top!

This isn't FC's, Paladin's or the Nix's fault. This is generic merch the A-League teams get. So the "garish" training jackets will have Paladin stuff underneath, such as the much nicer Paladin training shirts or the home kit.
