Phoenix kit - The return of the stripe

You won't miss us!  Still think the adidas kits will be tough to beat - last year's was probably our best ever kit.

I love kit reveals.

On the pod Domey said the shirts were stripy-ish.  I wonder whether that style they have on the tracksuits and training tops could make an appearance on the main shirt?

Is there anyone out there that has every Phoenix kit?

I'm also not completely wedded to stripes, so long as there is plenty of yellow.  I know some people feel VERY differently though...

I think I do. At least every home one.

Think I'm just missing the second to last Adidas one because stick on badging, although I may have a signed one of them.

I'm in the 'I don't hate them' camp for the tracksuits.

Absolutely barred up over the strips with colour matching Huawei logos. If I could buy them I'd buy both (and see if I could unpick the stitching on the FFA Cup logo).

Yeah, how dare they spends hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to ensure we have a club to support and watch. Some people really shouldn't be allowed to post anywhere.

Dear god.

Genuine Question LG, from the negativity in your post, would you prefer us to have no sponsor and money rather than Huawei?
Or are you saying they should try harder to find a different sponsor because you dont like them?

I think we should've had yellow on the kit for sure, even with the oddness of the FFA Cup logo

On the other hand, would've it been that difficult to create a design like pinstripes instead of just plain black?

Fudge those are nice..

Should've partnered with Lachyloolaa as kit maker

I like both the FFacup kits... simple, clean, and the monochrome adds a bit of class.

As for the tracky tops, well... sometimes being colourblind isn't a bad thing - and sometimes I wish I was more colourblind than I already am. This is not one of those times. Yet.

all of the above equates to a dull and boring remake of the national team's colours. We are not and never will be thw All whites. Even in the early kits there was some yellow. Stripes have been our thing for ever! why go back to the dullest thing around - black as your homw kit? UGH!

Well the black kit is absolutely fudgeing horrendous, don't they know black is an awful colour for a football team to wear. Horrible for spectators and players alike. Wear bright colours for fudge sake.

Is that for real? The logos are not in the right spot with no HAL logo.

Training kit.

Never use white text on yellow, Huawei should complain even for training kit. Otherwise I think this looks good.

The FFA kit lags some yellow accents,  it looks very simple but I’m OK with it, I dig the monochrome Huawei logo, and yes the FFA logo is big, I think it is because it has to cover the HAL or any other logo of the normal shirts.

For what is probably the 14th time today, this isn't our home kit. The home kit will be black and yellow, and "stripey-ish." This is just for the FFA Cup games (but could also be used as a 3rd kit later on)

With very simple kits you need to see them up close to know if they are successful

Also, who gives a shark about the kits - big news is that Huawei are with us for another year.

We are stuck with these ones for at least 5 games maximum. They're "horrible" to you, but on the other side people (like myself) think they're classy and clean and couldn't ask for a better start to this Paladin era.

The sponsor is the sponsor, that's just modern footy nowadays. At least it's monochrome, and nothing has been confirmed about QBE. You've seriously jumped the gun with this QBE angst.

sorry I kinda meant home kit for the FFA games - I figured that was understood. Why we have two kits for FFA cup games which are away games for us always is odd.

For Brisbane Strikers who wear yellow (so we'll wear black probably) and then for whoever wears black, we wear the white.

Like the slight shine in the fabric. Glad to get rid of the same old 3 stripes...

Does anyone know if this is just for the FFA cup? Or is there going to be separate one for the league?

This is just the FFA Cup kit. The new kit for the A-league season will be launched in September.

given the background "art" on clubs Instagram post announcing Paladin maybe going to hoops?

I think this is amazing tinfoil hat territory but also will happily call you a genius if it comes true.

Wow, such a blah start from our new kit provider.

It's just a plain t-shirt with the requisite logos and badges.

The thing I hate the most is that there's trim at the bottom of the shorts and nowhere else on the kit.

Far out people are hard to please! I think the kit is fine for a one off kit which is the first of a new supplier. I'm sure you'll see something that better aligns with previous kits when the real thing actually come out! I for one am just looking forward to a competive game (even if it is only the cup)

We have to have an alternate kit in case of colour clashes.

Anyone angsting over the likely one off kit should be forced to wear one of those World Cup Bid or Hobbit shirts for a week.

What the fudge are you on about, if you want to watch the blacks versus the greys, go on. Black is piss poor choice, the good news is they will probably never wear it, and im not surprised.

Given Brisbane Strikers kit of yellow shirts, dark blue shorts, yellow socks, we probably ought to be wearing black shirts, white shorts, black socks, although most focus tends to be on shirt and sock clashes, and short clashes tend to be allowed.

I really like the black and white. Clean and simple, looks tidy. Hopefully we get to see them many times!

Excited for the stripeyish if this is the standard, they look great.
