That looks like the biggest group of f*ckwits ever assembled.

And Marco has every right to be a part of this match, he's a Nix play until the 31st of March.

Can those of us not there please get some "Marco Watch" updates throughout the evening?

His demeanour, interaction with his teammates, crowd response etc. Basically anything that we can use later to make spurious, half-baked assumptions about what he might be doing.

Oh, and if anyone just wants to ask him straight out that would be OK too.

So if Marco gets a triple double, does that mean he's more of less likely to be staying?

Hopefully the lack of updates here is because Marco has taken everybody down to the pub to celebrate his decision to stay.

Marco was great tonight. Got a warm reception, played well and looked like he was enjoying himself. All the Phoenix boys were great value. Dylan (with new short haircut) and Vuko probably the pick. A really enjoyable night and 28K is a superb effort.

So you're saying he's staying?

He's definitely staying!

Reported on Radio Sport tonight that Marco Rojas said "I'm definitely staying".

Awesome.

Highlight was when two of the Hurricanes lifted Marco up for a dunk.

And by the way, this kid Adams is going to be a special basketball player.

Pretty entertaining. Did Greenacre hurt himself in training? Is that why he has a bandaged arm in a sling and a bandage around the neck?

My view is the crowd were kind/didn't make anything of it to Rojas, decent line of kids wanting his autograph.

I always feel a bit sorry for Musa at these occasions, as few know who he is. If you're reading this James, we didn't ask for autographs because we got them at our son's Birthday Party.

The tall bald one was Nathan Greenham holding a contract.

Top night actually!

Was quite funny how in so many of the cases, the Nix boys translated their football ability to basketball...

Vuko was about as hypo on the court as he was on the pitch.
DMac surprisingly quite good, probably the pick of the Nix.
Crowther rubbish.
Siggy, rubbish, but then he sunk probably the shot of the night, over the head hook shot, pure quality.
Lochy seemed to only have a left hand but wasn't bad either.
Vinnie, pretty handy, just short-arse compared to the others.
Marco- some pretty nice vision with his passing, got treated as the little bro by everyone, surrounded by Pulse girls at one point. Maybe that'll make him stay. Funny at the end of the game, what media there was there were definitely crowding around him.

But ignoring all that, it really was a great evening. Played in great spirits, CJ being done for double dribbles because he was trying to sidestep, one of the cricketers tried to Ronaldo it up his singlet, and Marco tried to volley it in. Even the Pulse girls got amongst it. 7 foot Adams didn't know what to do while trying to defend the girls!

Well done to the organisers, and to the Nix for getting amongst it, a heap of funds raised.

I'm not sure i'd give odds on Nonu surviving a night with that woman, much less Lia. She was well fierce.

Crowther took uncoordinated to whole new levels of awesome. Great night though. Talking to the organisers post-match they reckon they hadn't slept in four days trying to put it together.

After the match I grabbed a few photos with some of the footballers and heaps of people were doing the same and getting signatures too.  At one point a wee boy came charging up to me, as I was in my Phoenix top, and held out his vivid and his scrapbook to me.  Wasn't far off signing it for him before his mum clicked.

Great night. Really entertaining game. And about $29k raised from what they were saying.
Awesome stuff.
Some of the Nix players had some skill btw. Vukovic & DMac in particular.

Crowther played basketball exactly like he kept goal at the ring of dirt.

( By this I mean Hyper-actively Clumsy)

Crowther kept a clean sheet at RoD except for the dodgy penalty that was awarded to Bling.

..and his ability to sell second hand television sets is legendary.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

You may have noticed he was jumping/bobbing up and down constantly at the RoD, and there was the spectacular bit when he ran forward leaving Durante to scramble away a shot.

I'm not saying that he is terrible goalie/athlete, merely that he looks awkward and hyperactive, somehow.
