So far, its hard to fault Ufuk and his decision making.

He's signed a good mix experienced professionals and exciting prospects. Really excited to see how this team comes together, especially given we have space for 1 more import and the team is already looking solid.

Interesting - not many A-Leauge signings are announced over weekends

A halftime announcement of a new signing would be a pretty good drawcard for a preseason match...

Can jump on transfermarkt and see what strikers from England are free agents.

A taste:

Hooper would be outstanding (even if Newsy would likely explode) but probably a pipe dream.

Rumour has it that Emile Heskey has been walking around Courtenay Place this arvo.

would only take Hooper for sure and maybe Anichebe

Hooper would be an absolute baller in this league, he could definitely put up adam le fondre numbers. I know some wsw fans thought they might be in for him a few months back, but obviously nothing came of it. Don't want to get my hopes up because its pretty unlikely but he would be brilliant

I never really thought Taylor was likely either, considering the season we came off, so who knows.

I don't know much about Hooper tbh, but surely he's not unattainable.  I read that he turned down a few Turkish/American clubs in the summer.

Will Buckley? Has just come off contract at Bolton like Craig Noone who is now at City. Like Noone he is a wide player but can also play 9, he's 6ft too so not a bad size. Didn't score much but neither did anyone in that awful Bolton side including Noone who looks really good so far for city.

Anichebe would be awesome if he could stay fit.

Taylor may have talked a friend into coming over to play

Leon Best was at Newcastle when he was there but I wouldn't him here, he didn't have the best attitude when he was at Rovers iirc.

Born and grew up in Brighton, so technically English too.  Not *really* a striker though.

Currently with Unattached FC.

Most recently 2 seasons with Southend in League One (2016/17 & 2017/18). But didn't play at all 2018/2019 season?

Age 28. From memory Talay likes sub age 30 players with his imports?

surely the club should go after jurman who is now a free agent.  Get him and this import striker whoever he may be and the squad looks very good.  Jurman would mean relieving a bit of pressure of devere who struggles to stay on the pitch.  he can also play left back.

With that said, at 28 it's entirely feasible for someone to realise they've fudgeed up their life, up to that point acting like a child, and be genuinely wanting to turn their life around and fulfil the promise they showed in their youth. I'd say NZ is a perfect place to do this too.

Edit: This is a good article. I know it's only speculation but if he has turned his attitude around I think he'd be ace.

That Richard Hayes Twitter account is nothing more than a troll account. They read over forums and pretend to have scoops by linking players that people mention. It caught a few of us out originally but it has zero credibility as a sauce now.

Covert Agent is Rallis and he worked with us to get Piscopo over the line, so might be working on securing us one of our targets. It might be that he is more confident in pulling it off in the next few days than your sauce thinks?
