I am betting that Sydney finish with 10 men. Chianese looks just about ready to punch someone.

we lack continuity of late...our ability to retain possession has deserted us somewhat

No one's claiming a penalty, just wasn't a yellow.

Does anyone think the referee could be a ranga? There is something about his features that make me think there are some secret ranga tendencies in there.

So someone explain to me this how the refs can play advantage for a period of time then pull the play back like rugby? Is this now a rule or just poor reffing?

So you do not believe the player went down with the intention of deceiving the referee into awarding a penalty? (Considering the lack of significant contact) You don't think he hung his right leg out and back to create the illusion of being tripped?

Now Slater saying their keeper was beaten at near post?! A header from about the penalty spot...

El Grap covered it about 2-3 weeks ago that they have about 2-3 seconds to decide whether or not to apply advantage. Then they either do call it or give the foul. If you are talking about the foul by Leo, what advantage do you get when the ball was going out and the player was stymied enough to stop him getting there when he would have done so had Leo not got him.

He could mean near post in relation to the cross but you are right though

And we don't seem to have the time on he ball at the mo, I thought this season our passing game had improved but we are shocking when put under any pressure.

Still great goal though. Away fans also taking the piss.

Don't care if it an ugly win as long as we get 3 points.

Frankly we've been awful. If we don't start retaining some possession in the 2nd half the inevitable will happen.

As for Sanchez, I know everybody thinks he's playing crap because he's not central but it's no excuse. It's like we're playing with 10 men for all the good he's doing.

Paston and Lochhead playing well. Sanchez hasn't been sighted. Leo is chasing ball but that's all he is doing. SigmUnd and Muscat need to do better.

I might have to swallow my own previous thoughts on this in that perhaps the difference is Alex Smith in midfield?

Midfield kinda isolated- often playing 1 v 4 against Sydney...

We are getting destroyed in the midfield, but the defence has been doing it's job.

From what I can see fifa says it is 2 seconds max, in this case it was longer and the other week against Brisbane it was about 10 secs at least so it would be good for refs to be consistent.

How? Cazarine has been allowed to drift between Durante and SigmUnd at will.....

That's why we need to sign a great midfield player.
