I did the same thing! Was going mental at him for no releasing Daniel down to the corner while Stefanutto was holding him onside... always glad to be proved wrong if it's something like that though!

That's actually a really good strike rate!

No, people think its silly comparing players having to perform after transtasman travel in a competitive professional football league to you having to 'perform' in a business meeting after transtasman travel.

The commentators make a valuable point. Brisbane don't just bomb it into the mix and hope for the best. They create clear cut chances. Complete contrast to our style.

Because of this however, it makes it a little easier to defend if you pack the back and use a shifting zone. Melbourne did it and we are doing it. Melbourne have had 3 clear chances which is not alot really when you consider their possession

Still getting over the fact we scored! Delighted obviously but I just could not see a goal coming from anywhere today!

When we have a striker in a CM position, you can see why we'd take the chance in just bombing it up field.

But I totally know what you mean, during the final last year they were immense!

HT 1-1

One-way traffic for the most part. Brisbane creating plenty, and will be wondering how they're not 2 or three up. Apart from one or two occasions, the Nix looking bereft of ideas once they get over halfway.

Better than expecdcted, tbh.

I desperate, hard fighting loss will set us up well for our grand final next week.

Obviously we can't complain with the score so far. We ve been disciplined and quite accurate defending - bar a couple of huge mistakes. However we aren't pushing enough. Brisbane aren't used to being under the pump and as we ve seen after our goal we are actually able to gain some momentum

Replay shows had SigmUnd not gone forward to Manny and his man, the guy free may not have gotten a free ride on the goal.

Of course he defended his heart out....

The lads are showing fight that, if you'd believe the moaners here, wasn't in us. If we can be this staunch and organised when Iffy and Lia are back, we will be happy.

Agree - the boys are showing some of the heart they showed against Peth and first half against MV.  Lets hope they continue second half today.  We are not expected to get anything out of today, lets hope we do

No issue with that summation. It would be easier for us if we stopped giving away dumb fouls though.

We also need to do a bit more with possession when we have it. Its all good to be organised in defence, but when we have the ball, we need to have a game plan and be equally as organsed.

Its easy to moan because this game is all Brisbane so far.... The upright and a good Warner save have probably stopped it from being 3.

They looked very nervous but the goal has given them a confidence boost. Hopefully we don't just sit back again second half, let's go for GOALS!

Yep, trying hard not to get too excited myself. I don't think I've ever felt less emotion at a Nix goal ever. Browny looked as miserable as if he had scored a consolation goal in an 8-1 thrashing. (Now why the f**k did I say that...?)

If you can't see the difference between having to physically perform in a clearly measurable environment, and subjectively perform in a meeting I really can't help you.

Not sure you can call an Equaliser a consolation goal...
