The 442 thread is loltastic. Angry Raw fans yelling that the Nix should be expelled from the A-League because parking the bus should be made illegal.

Ask them if they should have been biffed with some of the awful football they played pre-renaissance in front of 4000 people in a city of 1 million+

They like that.

To be fair, its not as loltastic as the Victory supporters in the same thread (and pretty much every 2nd 442 thread) claiming that Brisbane is playing boring football, they need to lump it forward more, and that the 2 draws in 2 weeks is a sign of impending doom for the Roar, who have just been lucky (for the last 35 games).

Nothing wrong with "parking the bus" the man set his stall and got a point for his troubles.
We had limited attacking options so defence was the best form of attack.Brisbane need to look at themselves they tried to be too cute at times should've buried us within the first 25mins they were all over us i thought we were going to implode at one point in the first half we couldn't get it together.so well done the boys (imo)

Agree 110%.. I was watching the boca juniors vs Nix highlights last night and could definitely see the difference between now and then.. what was the difference, you ask? WE NEED IFILL BACK!! with him doing his stuff on the pitch, sanchez and greenie will be able to position themselves better (well that what I am hoping). greenie up front, ward and sanchez just behind the greenie, ifill and bertos/daniel on the wings and brown sitting behind sanchez and ward to make those world famous late runs into the box.. i think we'll be sorted... kind of... until we get a new 'proven goalscorer' up front to pair up with my Lord..

Well deserved point. Good defensive performance with a little bit of luck (always needed when you defending most of the game). Danning and Nakajima (x2) missed clear chances.

Good luck vs Adelaide!

I don't mind our approach as they are obviously a far better side. But I do wonder how in a salary cap league it is possible to get to the point that one side is so demonstrably superior to the other, and that one side can so completey dominate territory and possession, and attempts on goal.

How did Brisbane demonstrate their superiority? By drawing at home against a side ravaged by injury? Territory, possession, and attempts at goal are just statistics: superiority comes down to the result.

Oh, is that how it works? I'm still trying to figure out if goals win football matches.

A popular misconception. Actually, you score goals by winning.

Btw, you need to have a word to frank lampard. He still thinks Spain are the " best side in the world". Doh

Lampard's position is not, "Spain demonstrated that they are the best
side in the world by losing to England." While I appreciate that you might want to drag others down to your level, most people just can't
stoop that far.

Really, I'm impressed.

Hang about precious, you're the one who claimed "superiority comes down to the result", which I'm afraid is just bollox. Such is the nature of our game that superiority does not always prevail, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Im not playing any more. Nah, nah, nah

Need a tissue do you?  Did you see the game this week? Did you read the forum?  Didnt think so,  as I have always said, credit where its due and the boys played well today,  a good point and more than happy with the effort put in.  Dont you agree?

Sanchez to Greenacre through ball sexier. Just saying.

This might need a poll a little later in the season.

are you saying that NZ/Aus can't be sexy? Needs Iberian/Pom??

workmanlike finish from Brown as opposed to the in off the inside of the post on the run from Greenie.

but the pass and control from Ward was fairly good...and man was it awesome to be back in that game!

Thanks scouseroar! I'm quite glad we don't have to come back to suncorp this season! Will you be making the trip to Dunedin or to Wellington next year?

Definitely one of them - at least I'm pretty sure at the moment. Cheap return flights are mighty tempting right now...

When are we going to get some players? We can't get by defending all game and expect the current squad to get in the playoffs even with Ifil back. Hopefully the results don't affect the crowd in Auckland on Saturday, I live here and Aucklanders are fickle, look what they did to the Kingz/Knights.

Surprised the nix aren't mentioned in this article, particularly when our game seemed a great example of the way they outline how to get a result off roar;
