Im am so sick of one sriker not sticking in that centre circle when we are defending and then u get the clearance and one one on one chance.

He was at risk of contracting swampass from sitting on the bench for so long.

rojas changed the whole complexion of the game. his runs seemed to spark up the entire team. he's exactly what we have been missing please start him from now on. and ward as well. we need creativity!

Steady game time? 3 minutes in 2 matches? I was impressed with Rojas tonight, hope he gets a start soon!

Paston - 7. Looked more steady than last few games. Less punching too.
Hearfield - 7. Didn't utilise space as well as he has done in the past but looked good going forward.
Durante - 8. Lead the defence well.
North - 7. Covered well when needed.
Musa - 6. Not bad for first game, lacking experience with some strange positioning.
Muscat - 8. Covered the pitch well, supported Musa too.
Lia - 5. Lost the ball to much and was lucky not to be booked for poor tackle.
Brown - 7. Good goal, shame about his first chance.
Bertos - 5. Not the best season for Leo, lacking that spark.
Daniel - 6. I would rather have seen Rojas/Ward start TBH. Looses the ball to much and his crosses/set pieces were average.
Ifil - 8. Great goal, looked busy.

Ward - 7. Impacted the game well, impressive.
Greenacre - 5. Did sh1t all really!
Rojas - 9. Great stuff. Changed the game. Great runs. Give him more match time!

Agree on some and not on others

Paston - 6.5 Average
Hearfield - 5 - Lost the ball a million times.
Durante - 8 - Our rock
North - 7. Relatively solid game
Musa - 5.5 Lacking experience and probably a bit nervy, quite a few errors
Muscat - 8. Great as usual
Lia - 6 - Pretty average, nothign really worth mentioning
Brown - 7- Decent game overall, nice goal, great vision for pass to Ifill
Bertos - 5- Invisible
Daniel - 5- Invisible
Ifil - 9 - Fantastic game in almost every way, Last season's Ifill is back
Ward - 6 - Average game
Greenacre - 5 - Invisible
Rojas - 8.5 - Fantastic, should definately get a start.

Musa for his age looked very impressive for a first game me thinks you may have a little gold nugget there..

I do often wonder what some folks are watching, Greenie came on and worked his socks of again for the team up front to good effect.

We looked a better team after Leo and Daniel had departed the pitch, Ward needs to start as he brings energy and skill to that midfield area.

I think North had a very good game. He provided good support in attack and did very well in defence. He took a shot in the second half and a few seconds later he was already our deepest defender. He is very fast and athletic. If he performs like that again we definitely should tie him down to a longer contract

Just come back from watching the game at the pub. I thought I was being original by declaring that Marcos Rojas is my new imaginary boy-toy. But it seems like I would have to queue behind all you lads to get to him first.

But crap! When we suck, we suck, and when we rule, we rule, and we ruled the first 15 and last 15 of that game. We would rule this league if we could put that together for 90 minutes.

We were lucky to scrape in a draw at home. Not sure why people were saying we look good to kick on. Agree one of our better performances of recent but still way of what we need to be if we want to be in play off contention. We were very lucky how victory played in that second half, they dominated but werent really playing like a team out to score goals and seemed pretty happy to sit on a one goal lead. Still cant see us getting many points at all away from home. And without that we will struggle.

Hats off to Ricki - good use of subs early on in the second half - and they all played their part.

Anyone saying Greenacre is only worth a 5 is blind, he was massive for us when he came on.

Maybe you couldn't see from the fever zone I was around with some of my less 'enthusiastic' friends in the 'prawn' zone and he was all class. Won a lot of ball for us, wasn't afraid to tackle the Melbourne CBs like pretty much everyone else in the team. Some really good touches to keep play going.

Equal with Rojas for positive effect on the game, if not more so.

I think a draw was probably a fair result and, considering our recent form, I'll take a draw against the Victory.

Sh*t loads of positives tonight;

Ifill back to his absolutely brilliant best - magic piece if individual skill for his goal.

Although we did drop off for about 20minutes overall our commitment was very good.

Bench players really had a huge impact - Greeny, Ward and Marco were excellent.

I thought Musa showed he has a load of potential - he got skinned a couple of times but he'll learn and adjust to the pace of first team football and remember the calibre of the player who skinned him. He is very good in the air and has a very accurate long pass. As his confidence grew he also started to push forward and added plenty. A talented left sided player is a rare thing.

I just love Marco's willingness to take on, and skill and speed to beat, players.

I also thought that was Browns best game of the season and Hearfield is also getting back to his best.

On the need improvement side I thought Leo's work rate was pretty average, Daniel's fluctuated too much and Lia's passing was, at times, terrible.

To finish; If we have scored a better team goal (ever !) than the first tonight I'm buggered if I can remember it.

Plenty of tough selections choices for next week !!

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)
